We were so incredibly lucky to get a last-minute table for Sunday lunch today. The staff were lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. It really hit the spot and I just wish we lived nearby so that we could visit more often!

A wonderful dog and human friendly pub I have never felt so at home and welcome with my dog as here even the locals are lovely. The food is amazing unlike most pub food and it’s a very short pretty walk from the caravan site too (my dog drags me in there.) Hayley, Ann and Amy are extremely hospitable and chef/owner (don’t know his name) very welcoming too xxxx

THANK YOU Hayley and team

Went with two dogs that suddenly became very badly behaved which took us by surprise. The staff were lovely & unphased and were able to have a delicious meal. It’s great place to stop off on your journey as not far from A1 and we would definitely go again, probably without the dogs next time.

Lovely village pub. The landlord and staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you. It's a very dot friendly pub with a doggy menu. The food is cooked beautifully and plenty of it. We ate here quite a few nights and every meal was delicious 😋. Its cosy and warm. Would highly recommend and we will return when are in the area again.

Visted while staying overnight at the nearby camp site. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff who made a fuss of our 2 dogs with a couple of dog biscuits 😀 Food was amazing ! We ordered the Bacon & Blue burger which came with onion rings coleslaw and fries. It was delicious and well presented.
A perfect little pub with dog friendly people and amazing food .
We will definitely visit again !!!
Thank you xx

Food was served quickly and was hot. The presentation was excellent, and the portions were ample. There was only a Father's Day menu, but half a dozen options to choose from. Will visit again.

We visited the Plough on Saturday for an evening meal and again for Sunday lunch. On both occasions we had our dog with us and we were able to eat our meals in the restaurant. The food both times was hot and delicious. They also have a dog menu for you to order something for your pooch(s). I would highly recommend booking in advance. We will definately be returning when we are back in the area.

Visited once just for drinks and two evenings for a meal whilst on holiday nearby. A warm welcome from staff and other patrons alike. Food was very good.

This is the friendliest pub I have ever been in. Straight away when entering people at the bar were friendly and chatty. Super dog friendly, my dog loved having lots of strokes and attention

Great real ale. Was hoping to get an ice-cream but we arrived when the shed was closed. Birds to look at in an aviary.

My family and I ate here on the first day of our holidays, we are from Holland. It was the first time we ate proper English food and loved it!!!! The vibe was so nice, everyone was very kind even though we were tourists. The food was amazing and enjoyed our first night a lot!!

We popped in after a walk with our two dogs for a couple of pints of Timothy Taylor Landlord. A lovely pub that really feels like it's the heart of the community with the village shop forming part of the pub next door. The beer was good and the pub was really welcoming to us. One of our dogs is really frightened of fireworks and the village display was on that evening so we were encouraged to stay and we were really made to feel welcome and everyone was so understanding of our scared dog. We didn't eat but it looked very good and they have specials every day Friday was fish day.

We visit this pub often, after one of the many stunning dog/walking routes. Easily the most dog friendly pub around. Staff are lovely and friendly, always welcoming, with four legged friends too. Great selection of beers and wine, and the food is amazing, and very well priced with special offers every day. Highly recommended.

Nice warm atmosphere... fire to sit by! Lovely cup of latte coffee and delicious spinach and stilton soup - huge portion - with cute bread roll! Sprouting pea shoots floating on top - delicious and classy. Sherry trifle afterwards and they gave us 2 spoons to share it as we asked! (Post xmas diet). The burger meals looked enormous for a tenner or a little more so I want to go back! Scampi burgers looked fabulous.... The locals are nice and all bring in their lovely doggies, nice and friendly. Yes I'll be going back for sure for one of those amazing burgers! Food served from 5 pm!

Fabulous meal. Beautifully presented. Plates warmed. Tasted like home cooking. Covid procedures excellent. To have your temperature taken was an added feeling of being safe
