A local recommended I try The Lion while visiting the area....and I'm glad I did. Enjoyed a very tasty lunch, sat out by the river. Great quality food and friendly service. The cheese board was a PROPER cheese board!. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

The Lion Pub has always been a family favorite for us. Over the years, we have met with family there many times. The pub holds a special place in our hearts because they were very kind to my wife's grandfather, who lived in the village. They always looked after him well, even during the wake for his funeral held there. This kindness has made the pub even more special to us.

The Lion Pub is a wonderful place to visit. They offer good food, a great beer selection, and local spirits. Recently, they added a pizza oven out the back next to the river, so now they also make great pizzas. The addition of the pizza oven has made the place even better, and we love the new menu options.

The pub's location next to the river is perfect, especially on a sunny day. It’s a great spot to sit and relax while watching the kids swim in the river. The peaceful and scenic environment adds to the charm of the pub.

We love going to the Lion Pub. It has become a little place we go to have a drink and remember our family's past. The friendly staff, delicious food, and beautiful setting make it a place we will continue to visit for many years to come. Whether you're looking for a place to enjoy a meal, a drink, or just to relax by the river, the Lion Pub is an excellent choice.

Great little inn and pub. We stayed overnight and had a wonderful dinner in the first night. Tuna steak niçoise for me, and a steal sandwich for my wife. Both meals were delicious. Breakfast the next day was equally as good, amd possibly the best looking full English breakfast I've seen. Tasted good as well. Lovely location on the river, and a great beer garden beside it, which is really nice when the sun is out.

We had a fantastic meal at The Lion , very tasty, friendly and quick service, even though they were busy. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside , its such a beautiful setting by the river Teme , which our dog enjoyed a swim in. Very enjoyable, will definitely go there again. Thank you so much 💓

We were recommended The Lion by the site we were staying at, we decided to go very last minute after a change of mind. Oh wow did it turn out to be a very good decision. We were welcomed very warmly by friendly staff, and received top quality service from the excellent waitress.
The restaurant was very cozy and warm, with fantastic views of the river, making the experience even better.
Now on to the best part, the food. Absolutely sensational, my wife ordered the honey and 5 spice pork, I had a try and it was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before, made me slightly regret my choice of soup, which, don’t get me wrong, was delicious.
We both had the Herefordshire steak filet for main and it was definitely one of if not the best steak I’ve had, perfectly cooked, no fat and accompanied by tender stem broccoli and chunky chips. I could not recommend The Lion highly enough. Absolutely fantastic all around, really topped of a perfect day of celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Thank you to all the staff

Called in on the off chance of a gluten free lunch. Absolutely brilliant, really good gluten free choices and very tasty food in comfortable stylish surroundings I can recommend enough, I had the sea bass with clams really tasty. My husband chose the rack of lamb which was delicious, also a gluten free option. I chose the pomegranate and lemon posset for dessert. I really can not recommend highly enough

Staff very attentive.
We had starters/ kids menu, for lunch as only wanted small plates! The kids Fish and Chips was perfect portion for me! Desert was yummy, and also just the right size off the kids menu!
The decor was lovely and very interesting.

A wonderful dining experience. The Lion is a well run establishment with a cosy atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming with good knowledge of the excellent and diverse menu which is competitively priced and they are happy to answer any questions the customer may have. Maintained to a high standard it is clean and well organised and run with great efficiency and attention to detail. I have no hesitation at all in recommending the Lion to everyone and will definitely dine there again as soon as I can

First visit to The Lion. Group of 7, staying for 1 night. Greeted and checked in smoothly. Late afternoon in the bar was excellent. All staff were attentive and joined in conversation throughout. Meals in the evening were delicious and so well presented. Staff were also very helpful in selecting wines to accompany mains. Breakfast was fantastic. Again, service, quality of cooking and presentation were amazing. It makes such a difference. I thoroughly recommend all aspects of a stay at The Lion.

We're lucky enough to live in the village. We always get a warm welcome, whether poping in for a coffee, a pint, or a meal.
I'm looking forward to the summer, great pizza, and a pint by the river.
