Flat Eric came here twice with us in the " year the world went insane" aka 2020. We like the pub as it has a Cask Marque for the 4 real ales on handpump. I had the Hobson's Town Crier golden ale. They also sell the rare Three Tuns brewery beer from Bishop's Castle. Several dark rooms plus a lovely rear courtyard. A pub also selling food at lunchtime and evening from 6pm. Never eaten here but will give it 5* for the beer. Ic and Flic still on wine.

Perfect English pub. Exactly what we after - friendly staff, good food and nice atmosphere. Games to play (a detail often missing but necessary to make a pub great), and a nice buzz to the place
Recommend the halloumi souvlaki and the steak sandwich

This is a great pub with excellent food which was reasonably priced. Very friendly service as well. Highly recommended.

Visited for the 2nd time on Saturday. Great service, great food, great place! Super dog friendly, made a fuss of our pooch and even gave him some doggy biscuits whilst we ate our dinner.

Great food and service,much better view than you get in Yorkshire in fact much better food and service than you get in Yorkshire.The ales on tap were excellent,I tried most of them over a a few days stay.Heard somebody talking about how their skill set didn't suit the current market at the moment .I suppose it takes all sorts.Me, I enjoyed just looking at the sky and clouds in the beer garden and eating beautifully presented food.Toilets were well kept.Staff friendly and polite.

Good beer in dog friendly, historic pub in heart of Ludlow

Nice cosy atmosphere, popped in with our dog for a couple of non alcoholic beers so didn't have to eat, gentlemen that greeted us were very pleasant & professional.
Nice to get a good atmosphere back in a true British pub.

Lovely friendly pub in the centre of Ludlow serving the excellent Three Tuns ale . We’ve dined here a couple of times too and not been disappointed ,

Went to this lovely pub yesterday for some lunch. From the outside it looks lovely but on the inside it has a cross between old decor and items from the past - all of which shouldn’t put you off! (But I think it could do with updating). The two females serving drinks and handing out the food were pleasant. This pub allows dogs in the front, if we knew we would have brought our dog. The menu has a reasonable section and reasonably priced. The food it self is absolutely Delicious! The home cooked chips are bang on! Even though they were busy food was still brought out quickly. Will definitely be going back again and highly recommended if you’re ever in Ludlow

C17 inn near to the Norman castle. Many wooden clad areas to populate. Whispers of the Shakespearean festival from many years past in the back area.

Fantastic unspoilt pub on the main square in Ludlow. 3 local real ales on, and lots of interesting features, such as the slightly macabre animals heads on the walls.

We turned up just as they'd finished serving food but they kindly accommodated us. We ordered the fish & chips which was lovely 10/10. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great. A really friendly lively pub..will definitely visit here again the next time we visit lovely Ludlow.
