I have used this Chemist for over a year, I always find the counter staff, friendly, professional and accommodating.

I have witnessed several situations where both the pharmacist (John) and his team have been shouted at, insulted and threatened by folk who come into the chemist and demand they get their medication immediately, completely unaware of others that are also trying to collect their own medication and the pressure the team are already under.

John always presents himself as calm and knowledgeable, giving the people who are so rude to him, nothing but professional courtesy. An extraordinary skill given the lack of manners they encounter. Its not fair John and his team are put under such additional stress and insult given how hard they all work.

John has always explained about how to use the repeat order service, which I try to do when im only collecting my repeat prescription. I think following these simple requests help the team manage their ever growing patient list.

Absolutely fantastic, professional and compassionate staff. I live and work in this community and there are some very high profile, unwell people who live here and need the pharmacy - phakeys always treats them with the utmost respect, politeness and professionalism even when customers don't extend the same courtesy. With the UK in its current situation with regards to health care, its an absolute blessing to have people available who work so hard and clearly care so much about dignity and respect for their community.

Special mention to the lead pharmacist at Phakeys who works extremely early and hard, and is kind, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable.

Hats off to the lovely young lady serving everyone today. Lots of demanding and some rude customers and she kept her cool and was nothing but polite and helpful 😃

Not sure what happened to the people with negative reviews but I have only relatively recently been using this place for about 8 months. They have been absolutely brilliant, the lady that takes most of the initial orders is such a nice person, she has a wonderful way with all the customers, young and old. She advised me about the prepayment card and saved me a fortune. The dispensing chap has always been polite and efficient. I can honestly say that this is one of the best of its kind in my experience.

I'm reading a lot of negative reviews but I honestly give it 5 stars. I use the pharmacy at least once a week and not only is their consulting advice really good but they really are very helpful all round and polite. They do prescriptions as quick as any other place. They do have new pharmacists since a lot of reviews.

I use Phakeys on a regular basis, and have needed to approach the pharmacist with rather embarrassing issues in the past. Victor in particular has been extremely helpful and has always made me feel at ease. I would recommend Phakeys to anybody new to the area, or wishing to change Pharmacists.
