St Moritz

We had a fabulous meal at St Moritz on Tuesday 9th July. The food was amazing, the service from Max was outstanding, it was as good as many of the restaurants we’ve been to in Rome. I would highly recommend St Moritz to anyone visiting/staying in Buxton.

A wonderfully authentic atmosphere, a wonderfully and beautifully executed menu. Lovely helpful staff (the young staff were more of Viking extraction than Italian, but they sure know how to give a first class customer experience ). Superb. And bravo. And thanks. PS the liver was exquisite. We’ve booked again for tomorrow. So much better than our hotel up the hill.

Amazing Italian. The interior is well decorated based on St Moritz in Switzerland, especially the upstairs/balcony area. The food was freshly made and delicious. The staff were lovely.

We parked at the train station carpark and was close enough.

I’ve tried stroganoff and it was perfect. My friend ravioli with sage ricotta was perfect. Desserts were also really good .

Excellent food and a good atmosphere. If there's a noisy group, it can be quite overwhelming as it's a small restaurant. However, if you are here to decide whether to book (and you'll need to, as they are often fully booked come the evening), just do it.

Wonderful food, great atmosphere and superb service! Would highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back there.

Lovely little Italian with a warm atmosphere and wonderful food. Book ahead because it can be full by the evening.

Had a gorgeous meal here last night. Ordered small plates of Ravioli, Gnocchi and salad and it was all very fresh, tasty and exciting. My ******* mouth’s watering right now reliving it! 🤤 The tiramisu could have been a bit less creamy and more airy and moist but all in all a great experience. Interesting traditional decor and ambience. The host / manager Amelie was lovely too. Definitely would recommend and return. Thank you! 🍝 🇮🇹 😋

Had a meal here last night ,food, service, staff, surroundings all excellent. We just called in hoping to get seated and were shown upstairs to a table and it was perfect for us .we can highly recommend this place, will definitely call again when in the area .

Celebrated my 30th Wedding Anniversary in here and the food tasted amazing and great portion sizes, great atmosphere and amazing staff, Max was superb, very helpful and polite.

The cannelloni was gorgeous and the vegetarian folded pizza was delicious, never has one with feta in it but it really worked. The staff were very helpful and moved My booking on with no problem highly recommended

Ate at this little gem tonight, food was great and the portions were large. The Calzone dessert was incredible. Special thanks to Maddie who served us- she was wonderful and really made our evening

First visit to this restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last.
We booked a table in advance and where pleasantly surprised by how quaint and relaxing the restaurant was.
We were greeted with smiles and shown to our table.
We ordered a drink whilst looking at the menu and it was so nice not to be rushed.
We ordered starters and I have to say the mussels were the best I ever had.
Mains were served with excellent wine.
The guy came with the parmigiana which was a nice touch .
We came out some two hours later having had a lovely meal and great service .

Lovely homemade ravioli. Well seasoned fillet steak with flavour although overcooked But they made up for that with comping a dessert which was a very good tiramasu. Ate it so quick didn't take a photo !

Had an amazing meal here last night. The food was all excellent. No complaints whatsoever. I had the toasted ciabatta and dips to start. Some places would serve a couple of pieces of bread, but this came with eight pieces. It sounds a lot but the portions were just right. My beef medallion main had three very decent sized medallions with not one ounce of fat anywhere. All food tasted incredible. Very flavoursome. Service was prompt, polite, efficient and friendly. Very clean place. Couldn't fault it. Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning.

Had Sunday lunch food was excellent, beautifully presented and tasty. I had the seafood Ravioli and the Chicken St Moritz. Service was good and all at a reasonable price.

We had a really good meal just prior to watching a show at the opera house. The meal was very good and reasonably priced.
