We had an early dinner at this traditional country pub with friends one Wednesday in July. We liked their menu offering with a ‘pub grub’ menu supported by a great specials board. All of the food was excellent – tasty and served nice and hot. The puddings were first class. Service was friendly and efficient. You can eat in or outside. Parking is mostly on street, but it’s a very quiet village. Price wise, not cheap but the quality was such that we felt we had good value for money. We would very happily visit again.

A great family experience. We booked a table to eat here, whilst staying at a nearby camp site. The pub has a separate dining area from the main bar and offers a wide selection on the standard menu and also a daily specials board. The food was piping hot and portions generous. The staff are friendly and professional. We will be back.!

Lovely evening for a group of 10 of us and some dogs. Service was super fast, lovely surroundings on the decking and food was all, consistently lovely. Delicious reports all round including our vegetarian buddies.
The homemade cheesecake was a big hit for puds.

What a treat it was today. We went for a cheeky lunch (my Hubby and I) to the wonderful Green Man.
We arrived at the pub at 15:40 and they were serving food, which was lovely. Good Start.
We ordered a crispy Halloumi and chips meal and I had a great choice of meals.
I’m gluten free and after asking, I was informed they could do a cod and chips with gluten free batter.
IT WAS LOVELY, I can highly recommend.
They have their gluten alternatives marked in green by the main meals. So many choices.
The food arrived quickly even though they were busy and it was service with a smile.
The gardens are beautiful, loads of flowers and so many butterflies, that kept landing on my shoulder.
Someone has been very busy.
We’ll certainly be back, thank you and we’ll done The Green Man

Met here for a family lunch today after looking for somewhere convenient we could meet and reading previous reviews. Cosy dining area, very nice choice of food, generous portions which even defeated one of the party who doesn't often leave anything on the plate. Children's menu good too. Lovely friendly staff, service was great, we hope to go again

Visited the Green Man for a meal and drinks mid- afternoon on a Thursday during ‘Fish Fest’. I had pre-ordered an Octopus as it wasn’t on the menu. Chef had asked how I would like it cooked and I gave her free rein to cook and present it as she wished.
On serving it looked amazing, the whole octopus served above a dish with mussels and razor clams in a lovely tasting creamy sauce. It was all cooked to perfection and tasted spot on.
My friends had Lobster & Swordfish which was again all cooked to perfection.
Also with regard drinks there is always a changing choice of real ales plus lagers, Guinness etc and a very extensive selection of wines, gins, rums, vodkas, whiskies etc etc to take your pick from.
All in all a great day out, friendly staff and friendly locals adding to the ambience of the place. Thanks to all!
Would definitely recommend, give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

Went in for a late lunch today. Very friendly welcome and seen to with drinks straight away. We had the fish and chips which were amazing and also breaded halloumi which again was fantastic. If you’ve never been here before I 100% recommend it. Will be back again soon!

Absolutely amazing food and staff. Went here for an anniversary meal and the staff went above and beyond. I think the owner dealt with us most of the time and he just made us feel so welcome and gave recommendations on food and drink pairings.

So we went for afternoon tea and prosecco. Walking in the place is welcoming and lovely, the food was exactly as described and really high quality. Unlimited tea and coffee, and loved the picnic theme. Staff were welcoming and responsive... literally couldn't ask for anything more. Perfect end to a walk!

Faultless service and delicious food. The order arrived very hot and was enjoyed by all.
Many thanks for providing the delivery option at a very reasonable price.

It doesn't matter how long you've lived in the village or where you come from, Phil the landlord and the staff treat you like family and make you feel at home. You can easily get used to spending your free time here; it's great vibes all the time.

Lovely pub with a great outdoor space, friendly staff, great menu (with a good variety of gluten free options). We are not from Grantham but stopped for lunch here in August 2022 and it was delicious.
