We had a late dinner here without booking, but recommended booking. Monday night is a pie and a glass of wine night.

We both had the bbq beef pie with vegetables and potatoes. The food came very quickly with a glass of wine. I had the Eton mess with rhubarb and rose water without the almonds. My husband had the milk chocolate and orange mousse, both desserts were delicious as was the main meal.

The staff were polite and the service was very good. They fitted us in without a booking.

Will definitely eat here again.

Wonderful experience at The Black Horse. Came here for dinner and I could not complain. They have a separate vegan menu, which my partner fully appreciated.

I had the chicken pie which I could not fault. I should say, I am not a fan of pies but this one changed my mind! I highly recommend. The service is friendly and attentive and their sticky toffee pudding is divine ... truly!

Gorgeous lunch at the Black Horse in Market Bosworth. We had starters - Carrot and Sweet Potato soup and Koreon Chicken, then Steak, Fish Platter and the Philly Steak sandwich. Delicious, homemade fresh food of a high quality.

The staff were so nice too. Thank you, Sharon and Sacha. Huge compliments to the chef.

We had the loveliest breakfast for a birthday celebration, it is the perfect place to celebrate!! Food was so good and the waitress was so friendly and kept offering more coffee. French toast was the best I’ve ever tasted

Lovely Sunday Roast. Booked online for 2 people for Sunday lunch. Really friendly service from staff. Food was really well cooked and extremely tasty. Excellent roast potatoes and parsnips. Cheesecake was a perfect ending to the meal, very tasty and filling, the salted caramel sauce was great. Clean, has good toilets and car park at rear of the building. Definitely will be going back.

I booked the Black Horse as a venue for my partners 40th Birthday. There were 25 attendees and I had constant contact with the managers throughout in organising space arrangement and food orders. The Restaurant manager Karen was a delight to deal with and could not have been more helpful from start to finish and the staff we fun, polite and professional. The evening went by perfectly and the food was exceptional as always (the burger melted in my mouth) and my dad says it's the best soup he's ever had!

I would 100% reccomend the BH Bosworth for any occasion big or small and will be returning as soon as we can.

Arranged at very short notice yesterday and the pub was able to accommodate us despite dining late and slightly beyond the usual lunchtime hours.
Superb soup of the day (leek and potato), lamb shoulder for main with greens and served on a bed of bacon lardons and mixed peas and beans and potatoes, and finishing it off with salted caramel cheese cake complimented with salted caramel ice-cream.
Attentive, friendly, and timely service.
I was unable to comment on the cellarage of beer as I was on soft drinks. However, my dining partner said the house-red (merlot) was lovely along with the gaelic coffee she finished with.
It's worthy overall of 5 stars throughout. Quality food in a good English pub is a rarity now given the number of pubs closing due to current economic woes.
This pub is worthy of the public's support if visiting Bosworth. Don't risk losing the Black Horse. It is an absolutely must if you are local or visiting the village and surrounding area.

Wonderful champagne breakfast to celebrate a family silver wedding anniversary. Staff attentive and helpful. Continental and cooked options both plentiful and tasty.

Took the hubby for a birthday lunch treat as we have visited on a few occasions for dinner and have had excellent service every time.This was not a disappointment, the service was very good, food was excellent and we left feeling pleasantly full.we had the Wild Mushroom & Garlic Arancini & Crab, Avocado & King Prawn Salad pics attached. Very good value for money thoroughly recommend a visit.Very easy to book too and a reminder is sent on the day of the booking which is brilliant.Will be visiting again very soon.

First time at black horse ... have to say food was excellent...the staff were an absolute credit...engaging. smiling...lovely service and atmosphere....final mention to the chef...I.suffer with MND...I asked if chef would carve my steak as my hands are pretty lifeless nowadays...chef not only cut my steak but also sent it back reconstructed looking like a steak 👏👏👏👏

Beautiful old pub and restaurant, the staff were all really friendly and even though they were busy they found us a table. The food was really good, the burger is amazing, well presented, great portion size. Very clean and tidy restaurant and all covid secure. I would highly recommend a visit

Normally I book well in advance but on the 28/12 we decided to take our aged parents for a meal with some family members (a spur of the moment event). After contacting the BH I spoke to a lovely lady named Karen. x11 is a fair number to book in, but Karen after confirming details, called me back within 10mins, sent an email and took a vegan order (for 1 of the family). Arriving at the BH we parked in their car park and had to enter our reg number on a tablet in the restaurant. This is a newish feature but no different to other large venues we’ve been to. They have plenty of signs up & staff explained it was necessary to avoid a fine and made the process very easy. The food was amazing, staff really looked after us (one parent has dementia) & they turned music down to accommodate us asking. Karen was incredibly helpful and we’d definitely recommend this place. Professional staff, great food, relaxed atmosphere and hassle free parking, despite what others may have said in the past. Many thanks.
