We popped in for food whilst on a day trip to Ludlow. Lovely beer garden. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. It’s very dog friendly (dogs were spoilt!) and the food was lovely. Proper pub food. Burgers, pies, steak, fish and chips etc but also veggie options. Very reasonably priced too.

I visited The Bull the other week, Sacha behind the bar served me and my husband and she was very lovely and chatty. The pub was clean and a good atmosphere.

Friendly barman/publican, trying to push ales which suits me. Comfy sitting area at the front away from the more noisy bar, good outside seating just in case we get a summer.

Popped in for a drink and what a nice local boozer. Just realised they are now doing food again. I will visit again in the future and try the food.

Just returned from a long weekend at The Bull and had a fabulous time. Comfortable, well equipped room in a wonderful building, topped off with the best breakfast I've ever had!
You do need to be aware that you are staying above a busy pub but that wasn't a problem to us. Will return soon.

Nice pic, real good, friendly staff. Got good traditional pub features like jukebox, pool table, sports on TV. Good selection of beers, wines & spirits. Nice heated outdoor area. A good pub, well worth a vist

Absolutely fantastic pub loads of history. Staff fantastic, landlord brilliant. Rooms were clean, pub is more working man's pub. Breakfast fry up was undisputedly tasty just check serving times.
Highly recommended 👌

Stayed for one night as part of a little tour of the area
Warm welcome on arrival, gorgeous, quaint place bursting with character and history
A great courtyard area to enjoy a pint or two from the lovely bar
The room was fine. Wonky floors added to the charm! The bathroom was adequate but in need of a refresh...something that the owner is planning very soon, now that business is picking up again post Covid
As mentioned previously, the breakfast was great...just what was needed before a yomp up the hills. All from the hands of the owner, who was an excellent, welcoming host
Will certainly be returning. A terrific find

Amazing value for money for bed & breakfast. The landlord and lovely housekeeper made us feel very welcome. Our room was large and comfortable and breakfast was spot on. The breakfast room was light and airy with a great view of the ancient building opposite. We will definitely try and book in again. Thanks for a great weekend.

The age & history of the property really appealed to me. Location was also excellent - easy walkable from the train station & within easy walking distance of Ludlow Castle & other historic sites. I knew from their website that the rooms are above the pub - which was open till midnight each of the 2 nights I was there - but since I’m a night owl & don’t fall asleep till after midnight anyway, I’m their perfect kind of guest! My room was spacious, clean & comfortable - I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

My partner and I have recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Bull Hotel. It was a fantastic location and we would highly recommend it. Complimentary toiletries and tea/coffee etc were replenished daily as were clean towels. The breakfast was marvellous, cooked to perfection and nothing was too much trouble for landlord/chef Rob. He was very friendly, helpful and obliging and we give him 10/10. We will certainly return.

Since being under new management the place is almost unrecognisable. Which is a good thing! Before it was quite a run down old pub. Dated outside and inside. It was known as a rough pub which was a shame as its such a historical building. However now that it has new management the place has been transformed! It doesnt look depressing. It looks vibrant and welcoming. The bar has been updated and modernised to the 21st century. It looks light and open instead of dark and dingy. And the rooms are beautiful as well. A great place to stay and Robert the new landlord is an amazing host. Very welcoming of all guests and a valued friend to all. I can't recommend the bull hotel enough.

Excellent value for money. Everyone really helpful and friendly. This was our 3rd visit over 2 years. You can see they get better every time. A for effort. Great breakfast. We will be back

It's not the same pub! Came here a year ago and felt like I'd wandered into some kind of illegal drinking den. Not now!
It's clean, airy and friendly. They also serve Peroni on draft, which I don't remember them doing before.
Didn't get a chance to try the food but it's certainly a million times more welcoming than before. Great place to spend an afternoon.
