Lovely little B&B in a cozy village. The House is nice and the rooms are clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need and want. There are beautiful old buildings as the Abbey in direct neighbourhood and landscapes to walk and explore. But all that is nothing compared to the loveliness and care of Jaquie and John, who put all their heart into it. Because of them we had an amazing stay with wonderful self made food and we felt like home, even though we stayed only for 2 days.
Absolutely recommended!!!

We were cycling the Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbright loop on Sunday 9th September 2023 and came across the tearoom. We had the Sweet Potato & Red Pepper Soup and Cheeseburger and Salad - both were delicious. In fact the Cheeseburger was one of the best we've tasted. The Cakes looked good too but unfortunately we didn't have the 'room' for one.

Spent a lovely hour here today. Although it was actually closed we had a lovely coffee/tea here. Owner came to our rescue after our walk.
Also a look round the place. Bedrooms are lovely really good size and with ensuite. A right wee gem off a place. Will go back again one Friday Saturday or Sunday and have lunch when it's actually open. Menu looked good as well. If this is his hospitality when he is closed can't wait to see what it's like when he open.

We had two great visits here. Once for B&B where bedroom was beautifully appointed with excellent breakfast. Very friendly. The owner even held my baby while I ate! We went back later in the summer for lunch which was also uniformly tasty and again very friendly chat with couple who run it. Highly recommended.

Stopped for a late lunch after a soggy visit to the Abbey and it was the best decision we made. The sandwiches and soup were excellent but the cakes were divine! Even better however were the owners Jacqui and John. So friendly we spent a long time chatting. Wonderful people and well worth the stop!

Stopped by the Abbey and decided to have lunch here without knowing much about it. The interior was beautiful and the owners did a great job making it a cozy space for lunch. The food was fantastic as well! I had the soup and sandwich combo and it was plenty of food! All-in-all I'm glad we stopped in for lunch and would recommend this place to folks driving through as well!

Absolute fantastic, I'm away from home quite a bit and for me its like going home to your parents house. Rooms are a decent size and Jacqui and her husband make the stay thoroughly enjoyable.

Proper little jewel in the crown.. Breakfast is decent too.

Great stop off point if you're visiting Dundrennan Abbey or passing through! This is the second time I've been here in the past few months and it was as lovely as the first time! Jacqui and her husband are incredibly friendly and their selection of food and drinks is bloomin' tasty! We had the toasted sandwiches and soup combo the first time and tried the burgers the second time round. All ingredients are locally sourced (which is always great!) and the coffee is divine. They do a great BnB as well!

An exceptional tea room, with the warmest of welcomes from Jaqui and John in our time of need. Excellent tea with excellent service, and a good chat to boot. Highly recommended. Charlie and the Derby Crew.

Lunch today was the burger special, absolutely delicious, as always, and the cranberry Scone with jam and cream. Best of all it's only a mile from home. Can't get better than that!

Jacqui and John are the friendliest and most caring B&B owners we have ever accounted. The place is up-to-date, warm and comfortable. This is a 5 star B&B and should not be missed.

Scones jam and cream were the best I have eaten in Scotland. Outstanding. Worth the drive. This place is fully refurbished and spotless.
