Such a pretty tea room. Pretty crockery and fabulous home made cake.

A truly amazing cafe. Very cute with its fine China plates and cups, keeping things tradition old English but very relaxed atmosphere. Food is amazing, all prepared fresh and tradition home made food. Cakes are to die for and the cafe caters massively for gluten free and for vegan so no excuses not to visit.

I have coeliac disease so am always looking for nice treats. Was given a voucher for my birthday so ordered delivery of chocolate brownie tray, 2x chocolate caramel shortbread slices & brownie mix. Absolutely lovely. Good generous portions & well packaged for delivery.

Beautiful cosy family friendly Tearoom with wonderful food to suit all Diets. Staff are very friendly and professional. The Gluten-free cakes are second to none with no noticeable difference from everyday cakes except they are more delicious and are made with love fresh everyday. This Tearoom is definitely worth a try for your Birthday, Christening, Hen or indeed any party. The Afternoon Teas are sumptuous with a facility to take home what you cannot finish. The lovely Clare also supplies special cake orders etc. and will cater for private parties. Do try this cosy lovely unique Tearoom.

We tumbled in through the door, desperate to escape the heatwave but needing to find gluten free options for my child. We were welcomed and sat down, the owner assuring me that she understood coeliac disease from personal experience. The list of available gluten free cakes & scones sounded awesome but on such a hot day the boys wanted ice cream and a bowl each was rustled up along side a milkshake. The main meals looked lovely, the setting is gorgeous (vintage tea party) and the service was second to none. We are planning a visit back to the area so we can try lunch! Thank you for making us so welcome.

We have had breakfasts, afternoon teas and dinners here. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is great. They're also great with children. Evening menu was superb and very reasonably priced. This has quickly become one of our favourite places to eat. Highly recommended!

Oh my!! Stumpled on this gem of you ever imagined a tea shop this is it on every level a ray of homemade superbly baked cakes some of which are gluten free not that you would know the mini raspberry eclairs are to die for also gluten free. The breakfast was great locally sourced ingredients which always pleases me and the staff are knowledgeably and friendly. Well worth a visit

Fabulous tea room serving glorious gluten free cakes. The owners are passionate about their craft which shines through in their delicious fayre. The menu changes each month so we will certainly visit again and again.

Lovely food served by very helpful and friendly staff. My wife and I both really enjoyed our lunch here today and will happily return. We can't wait to try the afternoon tea !

Supurb! Family run, friendly and warm atmosphere in a converted historic house. Fantastic food, offering gluten free (coeliac) veggie & vegan. We couldn't have eaten in a better place in Oakham. Perfect we all loved it.

Brilliant selection of teas and coffee great food and homemade gluten free bread and cakes. Serves breakfast and lunches. Will make up a take away packed lunch all staff friendly and welcoming

Claire & Martin are passionate about getting things right at Kavanagh's and their care and enthusiasm is evident from the decor and wide range of meals and simple snacks, their cakes and afternoon teas to the background music. It's a lovely place well worth a trip to Oakham. Their various themed rooms( Hogwarts and currently Alice in Wonderland) are very special. A definite 5 Star rating. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Martin the owner gave us a warm welcome, and other staff were lovely. The cake we were served was not only delicious but a work of art!

Lovely tea rooms and bistro. Catering for people with allergies. Normal surroundings upstairs and themed downstairs. Alice in Wonderland when we were there.

Lovely little cafe in Oakham Town centre with a great menu & friendly staff. Dogs welcome too & the water bowl out front was thoughtful (Roo really appreciated it, thank you).

Wonderful experience the staff are very welcoming & helpful above what i expected in service we had the traditional tea with the most delightful scones.
