Stanton-On-The-Wolds Golf Club

Had a brilliant day today at SONTW Golf club.the hospitatly all round was 1st class from the moment we arrived as a society and long after we had finished. The course in my opinion was immaculate with greens that had ya thinking. The sun being out all day made for a great day. Well worth a visit with society highly recommended date of visit 26/6/24 on behalf of Amber valley PGC

Played today for the first time, I was looking forward to playing and wasn't disappointed, the course was in fantastic condition with lush fairways and superb greens, not a patch on my own course The Radcliffe-on-trent gc, after the game the bar staff couldn't have been more accommodating...all in all a great day was had by all 17 of our group...😀😀

Played at Stanton on the Wolds in the English Counties Championship in Oct, the only word to describe the experience was outstanding, the clubhouse is traditional with a great atmosphere, the staff friendly and welcoming, with nothing being to much trouble, food was excellent. Now for the course, the layout is parkland, tight fairways but fair, the greens are the best I have ever played on in my 30+ years of playing top courses. If you are thinking of visiting Stanton on the Wolds GC....DO.... you will love it.

Great golf course. Not long, but plenty of trees and doglegs. Greens are quite big and are in great condition and they do hold a ball into the green. Would recommend, but try and play with a member £20 or £40 without 👍

Very friendly staff, nice surroundings in the clubhouse. Excellent food too.

A very well presented golf course with the best greens I have had the pleasure to play on. Not just my view but my playing partners too. Also I have to mention is the warm friendly welcome we received by all at the club, thank you. We will definitely be visiting this little gem again.

Beautifully prepared golf course, nice fairways with fast and true greens. Had a great time and will play again.

Have now played again some years later and it is still superb.

Went as a visitor/guest and not to play golf. We ate at their restaurant. Good food at a good price. Lovely people.

Played today and so impressed by the quality of the greens. Liking all of the improvements being made on the course. Great to be back out there and Amstel on tap always a bonus!

Booked a buggy but do to weather conditions they were not allowed professional was very apologetic food decant staff very helpful

Our society played at Stanton on the Wolds Golf Club on Wednesday 26th July. The reception we received was exceptional and the extremely helpful lady from the office (Gwinnie?) even moved the tee times because of the inclement weather. The catering staff were superb and the bar staff efficient and courteous. The course was in prime condition and greens fast and true. We were welcomed by members and our lasting impression was that this golf club will be top of our list when we visit the area again.

Wonderful course in fabulous condition Lovely club with great people. All round just excellent. If you're thinking of going - don't hesitate.

Really nice golf course, fairly flat, good challenge of golf. Clubhouse was nice, friendly staff. Altogether an enjoyable day spent golfing.

Had a away day there. Course was lovely, fantastic green, warm welcome and nice food. Will be back.

Played a Seniors match there yesterday, what a fabulous course with great facilities and lovely people! Highly recommended.

I'm a new member and it is the first ever golf club I've joined. Really friendly members and very helpful cheerful staff. The golf course is superbly kept and offers a mixture of challenges

Best greens in the county bar well stocked food available staff brilliant course under going improvements but not interfering with play.
