The most amazing exhibition of work from Raeburn (I think it's there until the end of September). Beautiful portraits with short stories of the sitters.

We were so lucky to catch another amazing exhibition. How a small gallery can get such prestigious exhibitions always amazes me.

We visited Kirkcudbright intending to go to the Stewarty Museum, but it was closed & this place seemed like the next best thing.
The staff were friendly & really welcoming, & explained everything that we needed to know about the gallery.
There were exhibitions on all three floors, we visited them all & ended up in the cafe.
This was a fab spot & they were happy to merge two of their menu items for me.
A top spot to visit.

We had our lunch at the cafe before visiting the Galloway Hoard. The food and coffee were really nice and we were pleased to see all the artworks and to learn about the history.

Visited the cafe and the ground floor exhibition of artists associated with Kirkcudbright.

Nice bright cafe, good coffee and cakes. We may return for lunch later in the week.

I really enjoyed the paintings on the ground floor. I knew some artists and others were new to me. I plan to come back to see them again while we are in Kirkcudbright.

Interesting gallery, features solo exhibitions of well known (and not so well known) artists. Also has a permanent exhibit of some famous local artists. Also has a small but nice cafe and the ladies at the front reception desk are very friendly and helpful.

A fantastic art gallery with three exhibition spaces, a cafe and a shop. The exhibitions that were on while I was there were really well curated. A great spot to visit.

It has an interesting permanent exhibition showing paintings from Kirkcudbright's artistic heyday with the painters from the Glasgow school. Has a lot of interesting travelling exhibitions, like the Galloway hoard and the works of Raymond Briggs. There's a lift, toilets, a great little cafe and a wee shop. Check the website to see what's on.

Excellent art gallery with different exhibitions throughout the year. The cafe is very pleasant being on the first floor looking out over the town.

I really enjoyed the building almost as much as the exhibition. Lovely friendly staff. Definitely worth the visit.

I have visited these galleries on several occasions, there are currently two displays open which show a variety of local work from the last couple of centuries. Importantly for me there is a wonderful cafe in the galleries where i like to get coffee and or lunch. The only issue with the cafe is that it is popular and can be difficult to get in especially with the covid restrictions in place.

The gallery had interesting exhibitions, including portraits when we visited. There were plenty of pictures to view Café was good. The menu design was a bit off-putting (down market), but actually, the food was a good standard. My filter coffee was good too.

The Galloway Hoard has been on display here, Viking gold and silver jewelry over 1100 years old, buried for all this time until discovered a few years ago.

A lovely airy and light gallery with pleasant staff. Able to park on street just outside the entrance. The Joan Eardley exhibition was particularly impressive.

Lovely Goodwin watercolours exhibition, helpful staff, and lovely lunch and some great gift shopping ... a little haven on a winter's afternoon.

Enjoyed my visit to the gallery. Made several purchases in the gift shop. The cafe is exceptional. Food is of very high quality and very reasonably priced. The olive scone bread is to die for! Don't go in if you are on a diet, the cakes are too good to say no to!
