We have been here twice now and really enjoyed our time here. Loads of space for your tent. Rural setting, really lovely and quiet there too. Can't day enough good things about it!!
Facilities are fairly basic, but the flushing toilet works and is kept clean.

Two night trip, one of the best two night camper van trips for a while! perfect location, no silly parking rules, fire pit provided and logs available from the owner (Fran) who happens to be one of the friendliest campsite owners we have ever met, happy to give you loads of information on the area. Facilities are basic but that’s what makes the place so good! the one flushing toilet is immaculately clean.

What a great place! My son and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a fantastic time. Very peaceful, tents well spread out and nice walks around the local area. The owners are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Great value! We will be back there the next chance we get!

Great camp site, a hidden gem. In close proximity to Oswestry and very convenient for finding things to do. Plenty of wildlife nearby to photograph. Brilliant and friendly hosts. Great breakfast to finish the weekend off. Highly recommended

Situated in a beautiful location near the border of Wales. The site has the basic amenities on site, a portaloo plumbed in with a clean flushing toilet and sink. Also, an outdoor freshwater tap and chemical waste point. The pitch size was spacious enough for our campervan and tent.
Francesca pointed us in the direction of points of interest, two pubs in the area and a local shop near the one pub. There was also a 30-minute walk to the riverbank of the River Vyrnwy. A beautiful location teeming with wildlife, the bank is on a sandy flat area, and the river is knee deep.
Overall, a great weekend and will definitely visit again.

This is a basic campsite, its a nice field in a remote and very pleasant rural location with a tap, waste disposal point and single toilet cubicle. Its not for those who like tge nodern glamping experience but its reasonable prices. Personally I prefer smaller, quieter, more reasonably campstites like this, but recognise other people prefer more facilities. Fire pits and logs are available, you can get severlal nice stretches of river nearby and there's some good walks nearby. Not far from towns of Llanymynech and Welshpool. Several pubs bearby which do food , One of which is a coiple if miles away, so walk/cycle distance. Owner is lovely tonchat with. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Super camp site! Tons of room, mostly meadow with mown camping pitches. Lovely welcome, rural but easy to find. Nice clean loo!

Back to basics camping, getting harder to find these days. Very quiet and peaceful.

Will certainly return!

Lovely tranquil campsite set in a beautiful meadow with a wildlife pond. Lots of space to pitch and for the dogs and kids to run around. Fran is a great host and gave us some excellent suggestions of things to do in the local area. Fresh water and toilet on site and we even used one of Fran’s braziers to have a campfire. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A perfect site for a genuine escape from it all. Lovely wild spot, no light pollution and an extremely friendly host who is always happy to share knowledge of the surrounding area.

The facilities are extremely basic, but very clean and well maintained (single portaloo cabin fitted with proper flushing toilet, a sink and an outdoor stop tap).

More than enough for the more self contained campers and a minor inconvenience when weighed against the unspoilt feel of the site.

We have stayed twice now and in both cases had the site to ourselves. We were also able to arrange a one off low fee to stay in the field for a single day (morning to evening for as long as we wanted) allowing us to arrange a perfect day with friends in a great location.

We will certainly be going again.

We had a lovely time as a group of friends.
The campsite is basic but that is how it should be.

An awesome venue and a great find. A large group of 18 of us stayed with Fran over the weekend and had such a good time. Fran was very helpful with local businesses and walks along the river for some much needed cooling down. She also offered us breakfast for a reasonable price too!
There is a portaloo and drinking water tap in the field which is nearby to all pitches, and Fran gave us bin bags for sorting the recycling and rubbish. The field is lovely and quiet and a nice setting beside the pond.
Can't recommend enough!

A pre-arranged 1 night stop between London and Snowdonia. Hosts stayed up late to let us into the camp field. Only sound from the nearby farm animals, only light from moon and stars. Will definitely stay again in similar circumstances.

As others have commented, these are very basic facilities. But would have happily stayed another night or two to explore local area from a private spot.
