This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far.
Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. I had my 2 nephews in tow (7 & 9) which were greeted personally by the chef. He came and asked the boys what they would like to eat which was a really lovely touch. Keeping the kids happy makes a nice meal for the adults.
Food as always was fresh and really tasty and a delight to look at.
Finally on Saturday we ventured to the new on-site pub. The pub was something I was really looking forward to experiencing and it far exceeded expectations. Warm, cosy, great selection of drinks including real ales.
It has a log fire, pool table and dart board. We had a fantastic after/evening in there.
Mark & Laura are fantastic hosts and all of the staff couldn’t be more welcoming. A very special place that’s set in a lovely part of the country.

This is literally the best pub I've ever been to in my life, I'm originally northern so I've met my fair few. Called in early eve for a business meeting, the pub was amazing. Gorgeous owners who make you feel so welcome, incredible building , fantastic home made curry and the friendly locals in there made it too. I could live here forever! A proper british pub! Thank you!!!!

Visited this lovely pub (with links to Monty-Python’s Terry Jones, who opened it many moons ago)when it re -opened recently. Fantastic service with a real homely atmosphere, the landlord/landlady checked in to see that all was good.
Nice beer, have yet to try the food but hear very good words about it.
It was memorable because of the welcome we received and the locals at the bar got chatting to us so we felt at home.
Definitely worth a visit and will be back!

As always, service is great here. Everyone talks to everyone, Low lighting in the evening which gives a good vibe and people can really mingle. Designed with socialising in mind with sofas, tables, chairs and games. The owners pop around checking in, making sure everyone is OK and enjoying themselves. On cold nights, the log burner is regularly stoked and bar staff are really sweet. Good range of beers and spirits, always clean glasses.

Wow! What a stunning place, a real pub in the most fabulous setting. The welcome and the atmosphere was second to none. Just wished I lived closer. If you are in this area it's a must, haven't tried the restaurant yet but it looks great

Good beer and atmosphere but be warned! When I sat on a wooden bench it was so badly balanced it shot me straight off onto the hard wooden floor leaving me badly bruised. It could easily leave someone with broken bones!
