Rhayader Riverside Walk

Lovely river to walk by. Beautiful place to walk with the dog

Riverside walk from the rugby club along the footpath and down towards the river running along the bank then down onto the stones and into the water. Lovely to have a picnic or just take your dogs and go for a swim

Lovely weekend away, camped at Rhayader cl site close to the visitor center. Easy cycle down into the town where there's cafes, pubs and local groceries.
Great day spent cycling up around the Rhayader dams.

Its a scenic and wonderful area. Be sure to bring a raincoat, water, snacks and good hiking boots/running shoes

Rhayader River side is a walk through history both natural and human. Remnants of the work the great glaciers can be seen in the river bed, where great torrent of melting ice have carved fantastic sculptures in the rocks of the river. Next you will see more resent works of man, old railway beds concrete posts from the time of building the dams in the nearby Elan Valley.

Wonderful short 20min walk along the Upper River Wye close to the centre of Rhayader in Mud Wales. The river banks are excellent for family &;romantic picnics on warm days. The pathway is flat and reinforced in places so there are no muddy puddles on dry days! You may hear & see many birds including the local Red Kites. During my recent walk there was a field with many sheep & lambs!

Near the bridge is the Triangle Inn.
Which makes lovely meals.
