Lord Ted - Pub & Carvery

Stopped off for a toilet break and quick drink. The carvery smelt delicious, but we just stopped for a drink each before we carried our journey.

We ended up staying nearly 90 minutes, ordering a snack to share, which was £12.

We only found it by luck as the sat nav changed our route because of traffic and I'm glad it did

Ideally situated on the edge of Newark. Ideal for a family meet-up! Get little set of swings etc to keep the kids happy. Food was good, hot and plenty of it. Staff all very polite and helpful. I imagine busiest at weekend. We went on a Sunday, the later afternoon is better if you'd like it slightly quieter. Also has electric vehicle charging in the car park. Don't miss entering your vehicle registration on entering the restaurant or you will get hit for parking charges.

Great pub the carvery was really really nice,staff where friendly and helpful, deffonaitly would come here again, mash and stuffing where also really good

My best place for a great carvery. Absolutely loving it. Good and family friendly as well as kids will find something to do over there!

I ordered the large breakfast and it arrived on a large oval plate which only just held the food it was so large. Quality cooked food and Wetherspoon prices. Incredible and the staff and service was exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating - highly recommended.

The staff were amazing to beable to cater for 11 of us without a booking, and later in the evening,food was great, service was amazing, the owner even gave my son nathan a bar mat that said nathan and his team welcome you to the lord ted, nice little touch, as my son nathan was getting married the following day, the outside area was also lovely...

Everytime I've been here the foods been tasty not scared to use salt when cooking veg,nice buttery mash and don't slice the meat like its coming out of their wages,in fact wnt some years ago and had a large they gave me two plates one full of meat,really enough for two people lol,can't recommend this place enough,I've often took my family 70mile round trip just to go for a carvery

Very warm and home atmosphere. You feel here like among friends. You can watch live sport streaming on TV. Broad selection of beers and other drinks and strong alcohols. Really tasty food. This time I was only drinking their cold lager. San Miguel

Food (carvery Lord Ted) quality/price was amazing. Staff is really helpful and everyone was looking clean and tidy as well as the place around us.
Good atmosphere and I loved the ceiling.

Visited this pub twice on our way to and from Skegness. It's a lovely pub with great food. My husband particularly enjoyed the carvery which was extremely tasty and very well cooked. Staff were attentive and service was friendly and quick. Decent sized car park too. Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely fantastic our first time visiting here. The food was absolutely amazing hats off to the kitchen staff and the lady who served us I believe her name was Lisa was Perfect at her job, greeted us with a beautiful big smile and helped with everything we wanted. Next time we're having the carvery, that looked the best ever

Went on spec here this afternoon/early evening as a friend told us how good the carvery was.
Although we needed to book ideally the extremely friendly staff sqeezed us in.
Booked two carvery's and was not dissapointed. The beef cooked to perfection and the vegtables were spot on.
This was the first csrvery we had had since lockdown and was absolutely amazing.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit, you will not be dissappointed.

Nice food. We had a tasty generous portion of Katsu curry. & steak and cheese fondue. Staff were great and corrected an ordering error we made. Nice homely atmosphere.

I have a NHS Blue card. Drinks and 5 meals, including 4 carveries £59. Fantastic value. The beef was perfect. Great buzz of an atmosphere too. Staff very quick and friendly. Best carvery I have been to for years.

Service was fast even though the pub was packed, we still got seated too. Food was relatively quick to come out and was lovely. Portion looked tiny but it was really filling and couldn’t eat it all. Will be back for definite.

New carvery very good. 3 sizes cater for all appetites.starting at £4 99 for smallest week days. Prices bit more week ends. Good value. We needed a carvery in Newark on a week day. Ive never had a pronlem parking. Nice play area for kids. Outside eating when weather allows. A good place to visit. Seems more cosy than it used to.
Visited today. Sept 21. No problems. Friendly staff. We'll cooked food. Everything clean. Can't ask for more.

Lovely carvery and generous servings of beef and turkey ( unlike some ) ..polite and friendly staff , we will be visiting again
