I am a local resident for the past two years. The staff is so nice and cheerful. Blessed to have this shop to close by. Love their fresh milk and ginger bread.

I am mainly writing this review to say a word about one member of staff. I’ve seen her around 5 times, and every single time she gives a lovely bit of chat. It’s really lovely and seems really sincere! Thanks

I've been shopping at this Margiotta shop for a while. Reading past reviews I was expecting a poor treatment and an overall bad experience. Things must have changed since I've always been treated very well. The shop is small but surprisingly well furnished, and prices are reasonable considering the convenience of having this shop at your doorstep.

Great place, also the indian staff is helpful and joyful. been there many times never had any issue always get all the day to day dairy products.

Amazing deals, great range and lovely ambience. Not a single member of staff has a bad hair cut to boot! Came for the fresh artisan bread - stayed for the hair advice.

Nice little local shop, pretty good beer selection, friendly staff.

Haven’t visited this local shop for a while as I was put off by the rude customer service displayed by one young lady! Tried again today, only to be served again with the most appalling service by this same assistant. Please put this lady on a customer service course or take her off your counter. Staff are not professional

Consistently rude service from one female member of the staff at this shop. Ignored when I say hello, no pleases or thank yous, just a sigh and look of contempt as she mumbles the amount and waves the card reader towards me. I stopped shopping here for a few months due to her, and most staff are genuinely friendly and polite, but it only takes one negative interaction to lose faith in a business.

Serious attitude issues from this woman, which reflect badly on her, the store, the management and the brand.

Working in retail isn't glamorous, I've done it myself, but treating customers with respect does help foster respect in return.

Will go the extra 5 minutes to Avenue Store or jump in the car to Aldi or Waitrose from now on - respect, civility and politeness go a long way. Never have a problem in either of those places.

I'm absolutely furious and appalled. My 4 year old son was out with his mother and was desperate for the toilet. With no other options available they went into Margiotta Piccolo on Mayfield road to ask to use the toilet. They were refused, forcing my son to have to poo outside in the street! What the hell!?!

I also agree with whats been said,
Customer service is absolutely appalling or just non exsistant, the big polish chap that served me was the rudest most arrogant person iv came across recently, and iv been in 3x and had this same treatment everytime, i wont be back and i suspect this is why the shop is completly empty every day !

Expensive and unfriendly. Would rather walk up to tesco.
