Holmer Veterinary Surgery

Took my one year old puppy for his yearly injections. Bit nervous taking him as wasn't sure how we would react. Vet was very friendly and calm, very quick and done with ease. Given advice on other things too.

Doctor Tony Riches is absolutely amazing. He is very calm, explains everything in detail and recommends what's best. Consultative and all around well-oiled service, and a real care for our pet.

After acquiring my first puppy Holmer vets were recommended to me. I cannot praise them enough. You feel reassured as most of the time you can see the same vet, but if you can’t see your chosen veterinarian because of an emergency, you can still feel confident that you will receive personal and attentive care. I see Phil, but Tony and the rest of the staff are all brilliant. They are used by people from all over the county and I personally know of people who travel from south Gloucestershire with their dogs.

The sad day to have our 13 year old dog who had been gravely ill for some time put to sleep arrived while we were on holiday in Hereford. We arrived at the surgery first thing after an extremely difficult and tearful night. We were seen straight away by Phil Adams who was both compassionate and professional in dealing with us and our beloved Chica. Subsequently the team at Holmer have sympathetically and efficiently dealt with the cremation and forwarding the ashes to us in London.
A huge thank you to everyone concerned that have helped us through this difficult time.

Always have a good experience at Holmer vets - nurses and receptionists are always friendly and I've always been able to get a same day appointment. Vets always helpful and pricing very reasonable. Definitely recommend

Wonderful vet staff are all brilliant.

On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who had all the details & infomed us in what section to sit in the surgery.
We waited no more that 10 minutes to be seen by the Vet who listened to my account of what was the problem was with the little dog.
She was very professional & gentle with our little dog.
Also we found the costs of the treatment to be very reasonable.
Would woul definitely reccommend this veterinary surgery to other friends & family.

Used Holmer Vets for years and I’ve never seen a team more dedicated to the care of their patients. They always put the pet first over the money and it’s so appreciated and the reason we’ve never gone elsewhere.

We’ve unfortunately had to have pets in the past put to sleep and the care their team offered us during such harrowing times is incredible

I'm really not one for leaving reviews, because I expect a decent level of customer service as a paying customer. But I feel that I must congratulate all of the staff there, especially Tony the vet who took the time to check over our older age terrier in her major service and mot test. She came out noticeably very happy which I was very surprised about, almost like she had been on a 5 star spa day!!!! Many thanks again to you all.

Always taken our dogs here as do all my family. Very thorough in everything they do and always very honest and helpful. All the vets I've seen here have been absolutely superb and friendly.

I have used holmer vets for more than 20 years. I find them all to be caring and compassionate with all aspects. I sadly had to make the awful decision to have my beautiful boxer monty put to sleep.
Dan the vet came to my house and helped make the unbearable process 'calm and full of compassion. There was no rush to take monty away,
We were allowed time to say our goodbyes at home on his bed. This I will always be thankful for.

I stopped on way to Narberth Wales, my dogs was being car sick on way to holiday , the vet was really nice with my dogs and we travelled on way and way home with my dogs ok .had a needle so was fast acting and got tablets to come home .

I have used holmer for a few years now. It's the longest distance away from me as I'm on south side but worth going there. There prices are fair and there straight to the point. They have done a few operations to my dogs which have all gone well and good after care.

Great expertise and explanation about Princess Poppie's injured knee. She was feeling a lot happier within hours. Very reasonable charge

Love the professional attitude and genuine love for all animals big and small, that this practice brings. My dog was spayed recently and made a speedy recovery, cat has had vaccinations without getting stressed even our hamster has been cared for at Holmer. Can't praise them enough.

Took a dog in for a friend which turned out needed a Caesarean. Everyone from the moment I stepped through the door was absolutely amazing. I really can’t fault them in any way. Their prices seem much better than local competitors as well.

Very good experience we've had. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The receptionist was smiling at every customer, talking pationly. Tony the doctor who examined our cat is very nice, calm, experienced, he was very gentle with out cat and he made sure that our cat and us are feeling comfortable and he explained everything very well. Also the surgery is looking very professional and neat. They have separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. This was the first time we went there and from now on we will definitely go there every time. I'm very happy I found them and I highly recommend to everyone.

Our chocolate labrador sid paid holmer vets a visit and had first class service from Phil who opened up the practise out of hrs at 9.30 in the evening.sid is only just over 7 months old and is an aggressive chewer into everything, he had unbeknown to us had chewed 2x 3inch long pieces of fabric velcro which he later threw up thank god, Phil gave him a good examination and injection and we went on our merry way ,sid doesn't like visiting the surgery but the vet had the knack to get him in and sort him out ,it took 4 days for the dog to get his mojo back thanks to holmer vets .

They were absoulotly marvelous with lola dan tried everything going for her cushings but we think there was something else going on so she went over rainbow bridge 2 weeks ago and dan was marvelous to her at the end so caring to her
