Browns Carpentry & Joinery Ltd

We commissioned a bespoke insulated solid oak door from Browns Joinery in July 2021. They were easy to deal (thanks Rob and Kate) and the door itself is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship by their talented joinery and fitting team.

Our door was quite a bit wider than a standard door and we liked that Browns weren't phased by this and would stand by the quality of their work with a warranty package (that I will hopefully never need to use but is good piece of mind).

We are very pleased with the door and think it enhances our frontage significantly. Thanks again! :)

Browns delivered and installed a lovely hand made door, everything from start to finish was dealt with efficiently, quickly and pricing was competitive.

Even during Covid-19 lockdown, communication was very good and when they opened up again scheduled in the fitting quickly.

We ordered a bespoke front door in oak from Browns. During the selection process we spoke to several companies and Browns were the most responsive and seemed passionate about what they do. When the door arrived I could see why. It is 1.3m wide and a proper, hefty construction but most importantly it is impeccably constructed and finished. Browns are a great company to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Proper old school quality workmanship.

Can't praise Browns highly enough. Very professional from first enquiry to installation. We had 6 windows & a door made & fitted & we are so delighted with them. The fitters did an excellent job & nothing was too much trouble. Would not hesitate to recommend their excellent service to anyone.

We are delighted with our new windows. Browns provide excellent products at great prices,. Their friendly and helpful staff took us through all the options, every step off the way. Their fitter is also exceptionally good and did an excellent job dealing with our old and wonky barn conversion. We shopped around before choosing Browns and I am very glad we did and would highly recommend them.

We had looked at so many window and door companies before coming across Brown's Carpentry by happy accident. Browns blew all the others out of the water, the price was good, the quality exceptional and the company staff were all really friendly and accommodating and gave us good initial advice, with no pressure to buy. We were kept well updated on the progress of our order, and everything went like clockwork. Six lots of new oak windows and a front and back door already purchased and installed, our house has never looked so good and we've had so many compliments from people! We've already got another order in for more windows to finish off the rest of the house and would definitely recommend this company to others.

We are very pleased with the door that we recently commissioned Browns Carpentry to manufacture and install. The team were very good to deal with and kept us up to date with the progress of our door during manufacture. The installation went well and we plan to order more from Browns in the future. The quality is excellent and well worth the price tag.

I had some internal double doors made and fitted and flooring from Browns and I can't recommend them highly enough. Communication was excellent and the doors were beautifully built. Installation was hassle-free and the end result is wonderful.

I have had two handmade doors from Browns in the last two years, a large half glazed front door and some bifold patio doors. Both have been of exceptional quality. The tradesman who fitted them was very complimentary about the attention to detail and high quality fittings used on the doors. Browns have always been a pleasure to deal with from initial enquiries through to delivery and after sales service. In the case of the bifolds there was an issue with the orientation of some hinges and within 20 minutes the man who had actually built the doors was with us and resolved the problem. I have no hesitation in recommending them for the high quality of their products and attention to detail, and will shortly be asking them to supply another door!

Browns manufactured a large oak window unit and glazed door unit for our new conservatory. The service from the outset has been excellent. The finished product is to say the very least first class.
The units were delivered to site when promised and the fitter recommended by Browns, APJ Carpentry, did a great job fitting them.
I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Browns for manufactured joinery.

We have just had new casement windows in hardwood for our Grade 2 listed barn conversion.
The quality of workmanship is superb and the fitting so professional. I would highly recommend Browns for craftsmanship and for excellent customer service.

Great company!! I bought several oak casement windows and a front door for my property and have been over the moon with the end result. The showroom was great, lead time was quick and all came securely delivered onto site. Would definitely use Browns again for any joinery work in the future 😊 😊

Having been let down by our builder who was supposed to be supplying and fitting for us, Browns stepped in and provided a top quality oak front door and sidelights for us and even arranged for one of their associated fitters to fit it for us. Top quality and did everything they said they would and to the time they said they would . I would definitely recommend them and use them again. ....Its a real show piece now at the front of our house .

We needed a replacement external door and after checking out the options locally decided to visit Browns Carpentry and Joinery in nearby Leominster. They had a great showroom and Kate there was very helpful, explaining the options to us clearly and without any unwelcome sales pressure.

Based on what we saw we got a price from Kate via email, and went ahead with the order. After one of the team visited to measure up on site they then manufactured the door, and arranged for APJ Carpentry & Construction to come and install it.

Adam Jones and his assistant were brilliant when they came to install the door, and got the job done to a high standard within the day.

Based on our experience, I would have no hesitation in using both Browns Carpentry & Joinery and APJ Carpentry & Construction again.

Really happy with this company! Definitely would reccomend and use again when needed.
From start to finish nothing was too much trouble, even during lockdown Kate was helpful and as soon as able the work started, Mark was so professional and did a really decent job of laying beautiful wooden boards in 2 rooms, the end result is amazing. Helpful and knowledgeable team .

Struggling to understand the negative comment and rating from Peter Lyons below... Can only assume he has the wrong Browns Carpentry!!! Myself and a number of my clients / sub contractors use Browns of Leominster for its quality of service, product and expert advice.

Lead times have always seemed reasonable and normally completed well in advance of the 6-8 week estimates. Timber quality is superb and available in a range of grades to suit. Workshop detailing is far superior to most other companies in the area.

Do not intend to stop using or recommending Browns in Leominster any time soon!

The windows I ordered from Browns are beautifully made, and the recommended fitter, Mark Howard, made an excellent job of putting them in. The company's long experience in dealing with listed building issues was also very useful.
