Went here today to help socialise my dog! There were lots of dogs in there, so she was quite nervous. But there was space for her to keep out the way and have a positive experience. The soup was absolutely delicious and so nicely presented! All the staff were really lovely and especially friendly with my dog. Will be looking forward to my next visit!!!

Had a lovely visit today. My daughter had a bit of a bad experience at the Aquapark today. She needed one of those amazing brownies. Whoever served me couldn't not have been nicer. Thank you. Lovely food and drink. It was really hot today. Not easy to work in.

We received excellent service from the Cafe team at Rutland. They made sandwhiches for our large party of 55. They were very delicious. The team also helped us buying ice creams and made us feel so welcome at Rutland. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Big shout out to Sally, Dawn and everyone else who helped us. Really lovely cafe, the food was nice and reasonably priced. Lovely location right by the water and even though it was very busy we managed to get seats inside.

Dog friendly but nice and clean at the same time. The cakes are delicious. Order and pay at the counter and they'll bring hot drinks and food to your table.
Warning though, it can get very busy in the summer months.
Oh, and if you need them. They have toilets too.

Very good food and good prices. Small selection of dishes sandwiches and fish and chips. Excellent if you want to have a picnic and want to avoid the hassle of cooking.

Food is good. Great to bring dogs. I love their motto muddy boots and dogs welcome. It got very noisy inside and was a big difficult to converse.

Great coffee ( in mugs so plenty of it). Food was really good and the service really fast.
Add to that beautiful views over Rutland Water and you can see why we are sure that we will be back!

Went to the cafe this morning. Very friendly service. They did allow our two Labradors to rest inside. Ordered coffee and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was made of freshly baked bread (crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside). It was delicious.

Visited the Harbour cafe earlier today with my husband and two dogs.
We were all made very welcome. I initially asked if they did takeaway as my husband was waiting outside with my dogs.
“Please feel free to bring them in”
“They are two large dogs, is that ok?”
“Of course, the bigger the better”.
My dogs were well behaved whilst we enjoyed the great food, generous portions and attentive service.
We sat on the balcony which was lovely with the artificial grass, the dogs happily lay down to watch the view.
Will certainly return.

A lovely place for coffee and cake. We had delicious coffee and excellent lemon meringue plus very crispy chips. Superstar Jenson was very helpful and a font of knowledge about the reservoir and surrounding district. We felt very welcome and definitely recommend it.

Great view, lovely good sized toastie and the best hot chocolate we have ever had out and about. Staff were cheery and welcoming on what was a very slow day. Will be popping in again on our next visit to Rutland Water.

There were 3 adults and an under 3yr old and we had ham, egg n chips x 2 and the fish finger sandwich. The service was quick and the food was lovely and hot. Only criticism was the chips came out in separate bowls and before the ham and chips. Everything was reasonably priced and the portions were good sized. Would defo go again and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat at Rutland Water, Whitwell.

Just called in for a bowl of home made tomato and basil soup. Quite a cold day and not many people around so cafe was quite empty. However, it was bright and warm inside with lovely views over Rutland Water. The staff were friendly and welcoming to us and our dog. The Soup took quite a time from ordering until it was brought to our table but it was worth the wait as it was excellent. We told the chef that it was delicious and in return he explained how he slow roasted the tomatoes, caramelised the onions then added water and vegetable stock before finally adding fresh basil and blitzing the soup before serving. That explained the wait, and it was so worth it.
