The Fish House

Driving along the A49, Hereford to Leominster road for the past few months, we spotted the signs to The Fish House. Each time we passed the junction to Moreton on Lugg we said we should try the food there.
Well, returning home this evening we did call in and we were not disappointed. We each ordered the small fish meal and the guy came to have a chat as he cooked our fish fresh.
When the food was cooked we sat on the bench and table outside the shop.
The food was delicious and of course hot too.
I can certainly recommend The Fish House for excellent fish and chips and a varied menu to choose from

Popped in here a couple of times to grab an easy dinner on the way home! Kids love it as a treat and I’ll be honest,it’s really tasty food! Chips aren’t greasy at all. Service is really friendly,and you can tell the guy cooking is serious about serving a good product.

First time as I was in the area. Oh dear, now I have a long drive for my fish and chips in the future as the quality was OUTSTANDING.
Do be aware that it is under new ownership so worth disregarding older reviews.
Fresh, delicious and a generous portion of beautifully cooked chips.
Definitely will be my place of choice for Hereford fish and chips. 😀

We are very fussy about fish and chips in particular, (we ask for ours to be served in a box to minimise the "soggy chips" problem with paper). these guys are one of a very small amount who get things right every time.

The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming, there is quite often friendly food related conversation going on, I've never learnt so much waiting for my fish and chips in my life, quite a unique experience.

These guys deserve some recognition! Especially as they are quite well tucked away in the Village (just past the church), away from the main road and Hereford itself, but a hidden gem worth knowing about in my opinion.

Absolutely the BEST fish and chips in Herefordshire, fresh haddock in a delicious batter, sampled both the curry sauce and the Irish curry sauce both excellent, my first time trying Irish curry sauce, and it is my new favourite we sampled a sausage and spring roll as well and both amazing. The place came highly recommended and i was not disappointed . The service was top notch as well .We even had the pleasure of meeting Zac, the owner, what a very pleasant and informative owner, very proud of what he serves, as well he should be. We arrived quite late and still fantastic quality. If you're from the Hereford Ledbury Leominster area it's the place to go for sure. Would give 10 stars, and I love my fish and chips and am quite picky. What a hidden gem.

Every Friday it’s chippy tea from the Fish House. The food is always delicious and never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and the Manager Zac is always welcoming and will remember our order each week. Highly recommend

I went in late on a Friday evening and ordered a burger and chips as well as chicken nuggets. The food was very high quality and tasted delicious. The gentleman even threw in some extra items as they were near closing. Amazing customer service and I will definitely return.

Excellent, high quality fish and chips, very reasonable price. Try the potato fritters they're superb. Going to try the Kebabs next as they looked delicious too. Lovely staff too, highly recommended.

Called in for the first time for my dinner tonight. Paid less than £5, thoroughly enjoyed my meal and there is enough left for lunch tomorrow. Great to see this place back in action and hope they get the support they deserve.
