Delectable afternoon tea with a vast array of choice. Sandwiches, scones, quiche, cakes and a cracking pot of tea.

Special mention for the mushroom.and tarragon quiche, the ginger cake and the cream scones. The quiche was rich and creamy, the ginger cake was spicy and warm with gingerbread crumbled over the top making for an interesting texture. And the scones are level 11. None of this level nonsense. They were lovely and fresh, as all good scones should be, but it was the cream. Whipped with something else. Reminiscent of a mild crème patisserie and maybe some sugar or vanilla - I don't know. But epic is the word I would also use. #Nom

We popped in for a quick lunch. I have to say it was the best chilli con carne I have ever tasted, and the presentation on a jacket potato finished with spring onion was spot on. We also had garlic mushrooms and these were amazing also. A big thanks to the young waiter for asking us if we wanted to sit out in the sun.

Another happy visit to the Olive Tree. An ideal location for a meet up with friends for lunch and coffee and cake. Tasty menu with decent price.

The cherry on top is seeing Rebecca's friendly smile and her superb service once again. She really makes a positive difference to our visits.

We also picked up a couple more colourful plants from the wide choice available. The Blue Light discount is a bonus too!

Highly recommended for a (regular) visit. 😁👌

Very pleasant surprise to have waitress service at this cafe inside the garden centre. A good selection of food for lunch served with a smile. Plus reasonably priced. Will certainly return when in the area.

Parking is free in the garden centre car park. The restaurant has plenty of tables with decent space between. As always the staff are friendly and very helpful. Attached is a picture of my minted lamb burgers which was homemade and melted in the mouth as I ate. Also as part of the burger were onion rings, cheese and bacon as well as chips. Decent food at a decent price too so worth a visit

Shocked to read some of the below reviews.
The Olive Tree is my favourite place to go for breakfast, lunch or a coffee and a cake and I don’t see how anyone can have a negative word to say. I have been going there for years and have never had a bad experience. Their breakfast is by far the best in the area and frankly I can’t go anywhere else for breakfast as it never compares. All the food is home made and the cakes are divine! I can’t wait to come for a Bistro night in December and experience their evening dining.
