Hummingbird Cafe

This is such a lovely cafe and the staff are exceptionally kind. I’ve just had surgery on my jaw and can only have liquid type stuff. I’m also v sensitive to spice at the mo. So we just enquired about the soups available. They couldn’t do enough to help. The chef warmed up the two flavours and gave me a taste of each in cups for me to check and choose which one I could manage. They went out of their way to check I enjoyed it. And both soups were absolutely delicious, fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend this for good food and exemplary service with a smile.

We had a lovely lunch here on Monday 7th August 2023! We chose it because it was dog friendly and had seen the cute black board sign advertising at the end of the street. Lovely homemade fresh food, ( plus fantastic tasting coffee!), clean seating and tables and wonderfully decorated inviting interior- modern with a homely twist. Lovely staff, all so polite and kind. And our dog was welcomed! Very welcoming to our children too. Definitely recommend!!!

This is a great place to eat or just for a coffee. Under cover and dog friendly. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

A lovely dog friendly cafe with great coffee and delicious home made food at a very reasonable price. However, the staff make this place truly outstanding. An unexpectedly busy lunch time, a temperamental till and customers with individual needs must have been really stressful, but the lovely lady in charge, who told us that she is the owner’s sister in law, coped with patience and charm. She looked after customers who needed support wonderfully well and engaged with all customers in such a positive and friendly manner.I cannot recommend this place highly enough; a rare gem and well worth a visit!

Great cafe & yummy food 😊

Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble for them. Special mention to Katie our waitress who had a good sense of humour, definitely needed when serving The Three Musketeers 😉 I enjoyed poached egg on toast and a delightful pot of tea. Will i return, most definitely. One for all and all for one. 👌

Enjoyed a lovely cream tea with a huge, warm fruit scone, Rodda’s clotted cream and strawberry jam. Delicious!

Stopped for lunch. Dog friendly under cover. Gorgeous quiche, proper leaf tea, will defo come back. Sandwiches hubby had, enough filling for 3. Gorgeous again.

My friend and I had bacon, brie and cranberry panini! It was delicious. No fat on bacon,cooked well , brie melted and right amount cranberry. There was crisps and salad. Can't wit to go again.

First time ever visiting this wonderful cafe, service was excellent as was the food, the staff were all so happy, helpful and very polite, we will definitely go again.

Lovely cafe tuck away. Good value for money. The cakes looked good but so was I and didn't have one!

Nice relaxed place to visit

Really lovely cream tea, scones amazing, good drink selections. Even had some little berries on the side! A selection of jams would have been nice. Atmosphere a little odd, sat outside under the awning surrounded by a sad selection of closed shops. But the cafe is making the best of it! Welcome selection of blankets.
