Taj Mahal

An extremely good Indian takeaway. We are incredibly lucky to have such a cracking takeaway in a relatively small town like Kington. The ordering process is excellent with a very good website where you can place orders and they also offer home delivery which is a blessing for someone like me with restricted mobility. I have not eaten inside the restaurant but apparently it is very good with a friendly atmosphere and equally excellent service.

We have eaten a range of dishes from chicken to lamb and pork and have never had a bad experience. Staff will cook orders to your preference if you would like things more or less spicy which is always good showing everything is cooked fresh to order. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Try it and see! 😃

The food here is absolutely spot on. I had my favourite Chicken Tikka Vindaloo and I must say it was one of the best for flavour. I recommend sitting in and remember to bring your own alcohol as they are not licensed. 5*

Delivery was a little slow but curry was first class, absolutely recommend. Chicken tikka starter and chicken tikka balti was so nice.
Will definitely use again!

Friendly guy on the phone and front of house. Timely, hot and tasty food ordered for four of a group of thirteen people staying in the area. Very pleased with all dishes including biryanis, korma, dupiaza and naans. Phoned ahead and picked up, ready within 20mins. Recommend this place for take away although it is a small restaurant so you could eat in.

Side note; Taj Mahal is opposite Angel Fish Bar where the rest of our party had orders from, also excellent.

There are a few parking spaces outside.

Ive visited the Taj Mahal many times and I've always found the food very tasty and there is always plenty of it. The staff are very friendly, especially Khan who always goes out of his way to make me feel welcome. The restaurant is always well presented and clean which represents the 4 star hygiene rating. I would highly recommend.

Not massive and a little rustic but the food was fantastic and nice n spicy. Take your own booze as there's none available. Great service. Would definitely go back again.

We come here regularly and LOVE everything about it. The food is fresh, tasty and served hot to the table, Khan is always eager to please and cooks our curry exactly as we want. Can't recommend it highly enough, the best Indian restaurant in Herefordshire!

An experience.

Just had a lovely meal at the Taj Mahal. The food was beautifully cooked, fresh, tasty and delicious. The service was excellent and we felt very welcome. We would definitely return. Highly recommended.

To begin, we didn’t realise how much we loved Indian food until we visited the Taj Mahal in Kington, we were looking to move to the area and decided we would try the restaurant one evening, the service was extremely friendly and delivered with a smile, the food was extremely fresh and cooked perfectly, we have tried plenty of Indian restaurants before and the care and service provided here was so much better than we have ever experienced.

3 month down the line and we relocated to Lyonshall, we were delighted to hear the Taj Mahal, we’re more than happy to deliver to us, so pretty much every Saturday we get the beautiful food delivered, always on time, always delivered with a smile.....and most importantly always perfectly fresh steaming hot and most enjoyable Indian food we have ever tasted...so much that I don’t think we would ever try another Indian Restaurant.

We have even tried things off the menu we wouldn't ordinarily try.

Even through lockdown, the staff at the Taj Mahal did everything in there power to keep serving the beautiful food for delivery while going out of there way to adhere completely to the government guidelines at the time.

If your in the Kington area, I would highly advise you try the Taj Mahal for yourself, I’m sure you will be very pleased.

As a regular customer, i am always pleased with the standard of the food and the service. I have also order food for delivery and delivery time is quick and food is still at the same standard as if I was to go for a sit down meal. Pricing is good and would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic food and service. Mr Abu Sufyan and team went above and beyond to ensure our group was well taken of. Highly recommend their Chicken Jaypuri and Chef special lamb.

Staff are very welcoming and the food is excellent. They went out of their way to get me a surprise birthday cake and card.
