Bang in Wells

Stayed here for a short overnight weekend break.

Stayed in the "Attic Suite", great space to stay in and relax if it's raining heavily... which it was.

Lovely welcome and showed to our room, good room facilities, milk in your own fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits and lounge area.

Great sized bed and loved the fact that there's lots of different levels in the Attic Suite.

Having an open plan ensuite in the bedroom made for some planning, you'll see what I mean, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Whatever height you are, there are low points to hit your head on, you have been warned!

There was a good menu with lots to choose from and the food was delicious. Breakfast was generous and really nice coffee.

Nice little touch to a table reservation was a small notice on the table with the room name on.

Perfectly situated near bars, restaurants and shops with a short walk to the quay.

If you know Wells then you'll understand parking in Wells is always hectic, especially in high season. We parked outside the "Nisa Local" just across the street from Bang in Wells to unload our bags, then moved the car to more suitable parking.

Thanks for a great stay, we will definitely be back.

Awesome little gem of a restaurant, great service, we had the flat iron steak which was perfect and their panko coated fish and chips. All really good. Definitely recommend and will be back if I'm ever in town again. *****

Lovely lunch, mussels and macaroni cheese. Very pleasant young waiter who nothing was too much trouble for, brought water for our dog, we sat outside but he offered to relocate us if it became too chilly for us.

Great little spot. They managed to squeeze 8 of us in without a reservation on Sat for lunch. Everyone's dishes were fab (Mac N Cheese, smoked mackerel, mussels.) The star of the show in their Bloody Mary! Can't wait to go back and try more from their menu!

Excellent evening meal. Good value for money. Lovely and warm by the fire. Friendly staff.

I visited Wells this week and this hotel was lovely. Giant room, friendly staff, free milk for tea (and happy to accommodate oat milk). Also nice breakfast included. I especially appreciated the book on smuggling in the Norfolk coast which was provided in my room, as it gave me a fascinating insight into local history which really tied in my explorations of the area. Will definitely come back. Thankyou!

Did not rate the rooms as just popped in for lunch.

And what a banging lunch it was, we had the chilli bowl, nachos and burger…wow! Everything tasted amazing and seasoned to perfection! (Nacho portion could of been bigger) The atmosphere and decor where great, we sat near the open door way looking out onto the roadside, felt like we were in a cafe abroad. The only tiny negative was that we waited what felt like ages for our drinks, the coffee was amazing though.

Will definitely be back soon 😊

Excellent food. Very nicely cooked and didn't have long to wait. We chose to eat here because of the good gluten free choices. Restaurant decoration is really refreshing and bright. We have eaten here twice in 4 days so it must be good.

Came for a quick lunch several days ago, and had a lovely time. Lovely casual and upbeat setting with stellar service and awesome food. The paella was particularly fantastic! Often quite busy around lunch time, so make sure you book!

We love this place. Beautiful rooms, court yard garden perfect for drinks, nothing is too much trouble. Dog friendly rooms with towels at the ready for muddy paws. A short walk to the sea front and an assortment of shops.
Cannot recommend Bang highly enough.

Popped in for a coffee a bite to eat on Sunday morning. Service was slow and seemed understaffed. Good food and great coffee in nice surroundings tho.

Visited whilst on holiday after being recommended it and it's a lovely little place for breakfast and bigger meals with the options of smaller plates. Dogs are welcome and our two even got a treat from some of the staff. The food was lovely each time and the staff were always friendly and welcoming even when upon first visit one of the girls was running around trying to serve everyone and doing her best to still achieve that high level of service with each customer. She did!

So pleased we found this gem in Wells Next The Sea. The menu is modern and interesting, the food high quality and well thought out, the staff and service excellent. The Paella was outstanding. Highly recommended. Dog friendly and very cool courtyard area.

Went to Bang for lunch on a visit through Wells. Didn't expect such modern food from a local pub setting. The internal space was well decorated with a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Food was fantastic - well decorated and yummy. We had the rarebit, sticky pork belly, nachos and burger. All were great with the nachos sticking out as it was all freshly made. Would definitely recommend and will be revisiting. And also the chips were dreamy.

Unfortunately no parking but it's in a central location so difficult to achieve.

A family favourite of a cafe; with a particularly high level of friendly customer service which contributes hugely to our experience - thank you!

Great party meal for 16 of us. Service was really exemplary with all the staff so engaged and just really nice! Food was excellent. Would very happily come here every day!

Group of six, including family visiting from Australia, just had the most lovely lunch. The place was very busy but the service was fast and very friendly. Everything we had to eat was delicious and generously portioned - a great time!

Thoughtful menu and drinks list. Nice to see local beer and cider alongside the imaginative cooking. I loved my smoked haddock chowder and the pork chop went down well too. Busy when we arrived for lunch but we got a high table in the middle of the room. This is a well organised set up with lovely fresh flowers on the table. Friendly, if restrained team and a discernible Manager with their hand on the tiller. I would return.

Interesting menu and the food is tasty. Friendly staff. Will go there again.
