We had the most enjoyable meal here, attentive and knowledgable staff. Delicious food and great whiskey with a good suggestion by the staff member. Food was reasonably priced particularly for the quality. I would highly recommend🤩🤩

SWB has really developed since opening. Great atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyed live music performed by Barton Hartshorn. Perfect setting. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful spot that gets the balance between sophisticated and unpretentious just right. We went during the wine&cheese tasting weekend and had a delicious range of unusual cheeses (in almost overly generous portions!) with carefully selected wines; the first pairing was so good it would have been worth the visit on its own. The staff are uniformly lovely, passionate, and well-informed, and make you feel completely at home no matter your level of wine knowledge. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Absolutely the best of its kind in Oxford! We felt welcome from the moment we entered, couldn't ask for better service. Our server, Ash, was fantastic and the wine recommendations were spot on. We can't wait to come back!

SWB is a really lovely wine bar. I have been here a few times now; the staff here always have good recommendations and a wonderful selection. Emily, the owner, is genuinely enthusiastic about wine and always has something delicious on the books that she is keen to share. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone that enjoys wine or a lovely evening out.

Such a lovely spacious venue. They have everything. Good wine, great cocktails and a lot of non alcoholic options if you are driving. Staff are knowledgable and attentive. Fully recommend and will be back!

Fantastic little find (but quite a large venue) in Summertown in our foray beyond Oxford town centre. Lovely staff, great cava and after dinner we returned for a couple of cocktails executed really well. Would definitely return!

Great selection of wine, from classified Bordeaux to minimal intervention wine. We had a flight of English wine and a bottle of sparkling, which we were allowed to leave at the bar overnight for us to come back again the next night! Friendly staff who are clearly passionate about wine. They did live music on a Sunday we visited. Spacious and comfortable interior.

Just fabulous. Emily (the owner) knows everything there's to know about wine, and she's always ready to give you the recommendation you need for a perfect evening. Great ambience, great staff, great wine, what more could you ask for?

Absolutely the best (in Oxford ;-) for matching good wines with matching snacks. Even better when there 'matching' music events. Live Jazz Band with a good bottle of Malbec and Spanish Hamon made my evening.

This place is a hidden gem. The wine selection is excellent and the food is delicious. The owner is extremely friendly and knowledgable. We found it on Friday night and we back again Saturday night before leaving town Sunday, because it was just that good!

This is the most wonderful wine bar and has been a fantastic addition to the Oxford scene. Firstly, the service provided by Emily and her team is friendly, attentive and they have excellent wine knowledge. Secondly, the interior is inviting, comfortable and they've managed to create a coziness, despite the venue being a decent size. Finally (and perhaps most importantly), the wine available has been so carefully chosen and offers a broad range of options, all of excellent quality, with something available for all tastes - just ask for a wine recommendation, you won't be disappointed. And there's a nice little menu to top it off. I highly recommend!!!

Definitely the best bar in the area. Amazing selection of wines and other drinks (plus some good food options), beautiful décor and fantastic service from people who really know their stuff.

SWB is by far the best spot of its kind in Oxford. Emily and her team are fantastic, offering friendly and wonderful service, tremendous knowledge on their menu, and a great atmosphere.

My partner struggles to find wines she loves, but always comes away thrilled (despite the number of wines she ends up trying).

This is a great spot for a romantic drink, a meet up with friends or even an event (they do tastings!). Cannot. Recommend. Enough.

Only dropped in for a couple of glasses of wine, but was so impressed by the exceptionally friendly and charming service at the bar. The wine was great too!

This place keeps getting better and better. The addition of gentle space dividers and sofas/armchairs adds to the relaxed and classy vibe. The real stand-out here is the quality of service and knowledge of the staff. Emily helped us pick different wines to try based on what we liked (we used all sorts of random terms to describe what we liked, yet she still nailed it!). Their light bites are also super tasty. A must visit for Oxford :)

I held my book launch for my debut novel: 'The Unfinished Symphony of Love' at the setting last Friday. It was everything I wished for and more! Emily and her staff were amazing! Really enabling and supportive, and Emily's knowledge of the wines they were serving was incredible! It was a great atmosphere, and I thoroughly recommend the Tarte Flambé.
