Sunday lunch was that good we went back two weeks later.
We all had different meat, beef pork lamb and all of it was cooked well and there was plenty of it. You even get cauliflower cheese to go with the other veg, bonus !!.
Well worth a try.

I loved Queen’s Head Inn. I want to start with the village. It’s filled with history. Not only that, but it’s a walk or bike away from more history in all directions. There’s a cute park and a football field not too far. Nassington is warmly friendly and convenient drive to Peterborough and Stamford.

The inn was pleasant. My room had wonderful water pressure. My bed was comfortable and had soft fluffy blankets. I love that there’s a USB in the outlets close to the bed. I enjoyed my pint by the dock with sheep and ducks. I even saw a red kite fly above the tree line.

I love that the pub is welcoming to dogs. The right rugby matches were on and the locals were all welcoming. All of the bartenders that I met, were attentive and a pleasant chat. I was happily surprised by the choice of local brewery on tap.

My first halloumi fries were exactly what I expected. All of the food that I tried throughout my stay was excellent. I recommend the brisket and hammock.

I look forward to my next stay at Queen’s Head. It’s the right price for a comfortably unique stay.

Very friendly greeting. Warm & welcoming staff. One of my top 3 WORLDWIDE visits for notable ambiance in the middle of nowhere. Unplaned stay in their River Suite. Woke up to the sound of Canadian Geese on the bank of the Nene River just outside the bedroom window. Absolutely must for a revisit.

Wow, what a find! Rocked up late on a Saturday hoping to relax with a beer, and good to see a local Nene Valley brewery on cask. Was absolutely starving after a long drive from Manchester, and asked for a pork pie more in hope than everything else.

Was astonished when the friendly new owner said he could knock up braised beef, mash and peas, especially as last orders had already been called. This proved to be delicious and just what was needed. Can't thank the owner enough for going the extra mile at this late time.

Room was great, with lovely views over the lake, and squirrels going about their business as the sun rose. All the rooms were step free too, ideal for those with mobility problems.

Fully recommended and will return!
Brilliant place and I wish the new owner the best of luck in making this pub the best in the area.

We had a fantastic 1 night stay here at the weekend for my husband’s birthday. We sat for a couple of hours with drinks in the garden next to the river, the sun was beaming and it was so relaxing. We then went to our room to change for our evening meal, the room was spacious and clean. Our meal was amazing, I could have chosen every single starter! We thoroughly enjoyed all courses and then went back to our room. The staff were more than happy to help me out with a small, funny birthday surprise; the barman celotaped a “happy birthday” candle to a pint of cider and knocked on our door and sang happy birthday to him. It made his night lol! We had a great nights sleep, followed by a tasty full English for breakfast. Would 100% come back. Thank you!

Popped in for a lunchtime pint, had a good chat with the landlord and bar staff. Mentioned we really fancied a steak.
Booked a table for our family that evening. Chef personally prepared the best tomahawk steak I have ever eaten and 2 filet steaks for my wife and mum in law.
Seriously good food, friendly service.

Had a 2 night stay whilst working away. The rooms facilities were comfortable, you can see they’ve gone that extra bit to make you comfy. The food was second to none in the pub food game, the breakfast was also amazing. Great atmosphere in the pub with the real log fire and authentic beams. Loved it thanks

Went for a meal, sat beside a roaring fire in a cosy pub though it does have a very pleasant restaurant we ate in before. The food was excellent and the menu had something for each of us. The desserts were very good too especially if you have a sweet tooth.

We got married on the 16th of August 22 . Paul his lovely wife and great staff were fantastic !. Everything he promised about the day was delivered and more. We got married on the Saturday and made a weekend of it with friends and family staying the Friday also. We booked out all the 10 rooms and they were good value for money and the breakfasts was lovely. The venue itself is so pretty with the lake and the thatched pub. Thank you for a day we will never forget :)
