We came to the Lily Pad cottages for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and we rented out 3 cottages for the family.
The location of the cottages were perfect and we loved the pool and barbecue area, where we could sit and relax in the afternoons.
The kitchens were well equipped and the lounges were perfect size for the family to get together.
The bathrooms in a couple of the cottages could do with updating particularly where you had to hold the shower over the bath and in the wetrooms it would be helpful to have a bar to hold onto to stop slipping.
This is the 3rd time we have been and we will definitely be back.

We've stayed at Lily Pad cottages 3 times now with big groups of family and friends and I can't fault any of our visits. The cottages are clean, comfortable and well equipped (the beds when joined together are huge!) The pool room is a fantastic bonus and leads out onto a lovely courtyard with a BBQ. There's loads to do for families in the area, but you don't actually need to leave the village (which is beautiful), there's a gorgeous little vintage tea room close by that does great food, 2 pubs, a village shop, butcher, and a children's playground next to the cricket pitch, everything within walking distance. The owners are friendly, and there's always someone around to help if you have an issue as they live on site. Can't wait for a 4th visit!

Having recently sold our home - we needed to secure a flexible, local rental to stay at with our baby son whilst we completed on our new home. The Lily Pad not only provided this, but the spacious, comfortable interiors has meant that our stay has been really enjoyable. (Total stay being 7 weeks). There really feels like there is a ‘personal touch’ here.
Very easy to book and the owners have excellent communication. The owner Jane was very happy for us to provide weekly updates on the status of our house purchase, letting her know on very short notice whether we would require a further week. This provided immediate comfort to us as house buying is a long drawn out process.

The cottages are very well positioned with good parking. There is a large lounge area, and a large kitchen/dining area. Ample room to spread out and have ‘space’. Even in these extraordinary times.
Every cottage has a private area outside to the front and rear of the property. We stayed over the really cold weathers and the cottage was very cosy with under-floor heating.
We noted the owner got up early on snow days to sweep our front door areas. A very nice touch!
There is a separate building situated a short walk away from the cottages, which homes the washing machine.
The pool area has been closed but that was expected due to Tier 4 status lockdown and the govn guidelines regarding pools.

We would highly recommend the Lily Pad. There are people staying here who are returning guests - always the sign of a good holiday home!

I stayed at lily pad cottages for almost 3 months whilst waiting for my next property to become available. The accommodation is very well equipped, spacious and well maintained, more than adequate for small or large groups for short or long term visits. Jane and her team are friendly, courteous and very professional. The facilities on site include indoor swimming pool, table tennis table, Wi-Fi, TV, sauna and a large bbq area and the local village has 2 pubs and a small shop. Finding lily pad cottages as temperory accommodation made my situation of being temporarily homeles quite enjoyable and almost stress free.
