Wonderful little discovery on the edge of town. The cobblestone pathway was so quaint and old fashioned, it perfectly suits the inside of the little tea room, which contains an eclectic range of teapots. The good weather meant that the seats outside were all taken, but the staff were so kind and moved us outside once a table was free. My mother had the boiled egg tea and I had the Afternoon tea which were both delicious! The range of cakes was hard to chose from as they all looked wonderful as well. Will definitely come back here one day.

Honestly these are the very best scones I've ever had some say a little expensive but you get what you pay for absolutely cracking. Thank you so much for the friendly service and amazing food definitely award wining scones I would say.

Gorgeous, reasonably priced, vintage tea rooms. Fabulous, tasty food. A wonderful discovery after my trek across the moor.

We stumbled across this gem whilst on our way back home. Food was outstanding with the most perfect scones and delicious roast beef. I highly recommend this to anyone.

We had rejected a sequence of not very interesting looking cafes for lunch and it was a very pleasant surprise to find this one. Good food and service in an interesting building, and very reasonable prices.

A cute and cozy place. As a foreigner, it was so special to me that they have a kind of old but cool English style design.

Fabulous cream teas! The most delicious and light home baked scones, and generous helpings of jam and clotted cream. We requested three different types of tea, and an extra pot of hot water was appreciated, too. The teens said the milkshakes were excellent. We were made very welcome, and prices most reasonable. We shall be back! Many thanks!

I rarely leave reviews but wanted people to know that if you’re looking for an afternoon tea in Oakhampton this place is not to be missed! 3 of us had different cream teas and we all thought they were fabulous. The traditional scones were delicious. I had a walnut and date scone and can honestly say it’s the best scone I have ever had.

A little gem in a tucked away place....be sure you look for it. It is in the museum courtyard. Excellent meals, fair prices & service always with a smile! Going again tomorrow for an amazing fresh baked scone with jam & cream & a cup of lovely tea.

Had a fantastic afternoon cooked breakfast and lovely homemade roast chicken soup for a group of 5. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Scones could tell we're fresh and home made with really nice jam and clotted cream. Really good value for money, would recommend.

Lovely cream tea. Delicious scones and very generous portion of jam and clotted cream.
We sat outside as inside is fairly small.
Service was great and friendly.

A well deserved five stars ... this locally own small cafe / tea shop is a hidden delight. If you want a change to the corporate chains then look no further. True, if you drink a soy latte or an almond milk cappuccino then this might not be for you but if you want delicious, locally sourced fresh home cooked (as you order it so they cook it) food and cake then the Victorian Panty is for you. The prices are remarkable considering the standard of the home cooking. The owners and staff know the names of their regular customers and make new customers feel warmly welcome and like friends. Highly recommended ...

Had a lovely cup of tea and a teacake at the Victorian Pantry. There was plenty of butter which is very important when you're rewarding yourself for a long walk. The menu looked delicious and the service was quick and friendly.

This is an amazing place for afternoon tea. It is located off road and has outdoor seatings. We had scones, cakes and teas. All homemade and of very high quality.

Lovely little place tucked away from the main street, full of character, staff so helpful nothing is too much trouble. Coffee is very good, and food piping hot, first class, look forward to visiting again.

Always make a point of visiting when in the area - Devon's best kept secret! The Victorian Pantry special cream tea never disappoints. Cosy, quiet but friendly atmosphere.
