I have used this place a few times for a quick sandwich as I occasionally work 10 minutes away, and remembered that their sandwich s are the best for miles around, on this occasion I drove there for an early lunch as I was in the area.
This place is consistently busy but after waiting a short while we got seated. Service was really good. Staff was very pleasant.
Food was fresh and of very good quality. You can tell locals used this place a lot and that might have something to do with the many greats of this place, there are lots of choice on the menu. This place is also well-known for its fish and chips.

Lovely friendly cafe. Food was great. Had lovely cake and a refreshing lime and mint cold drink on the first visit and take-away fish and chips on the second trip. Very good all round.

It is a great location and amazing food. I had a Farmers Roast, which gave me the best of both worlds because I couldn't decide between the lure of a roast and a salad on a hot day.
So, I had salmon, salad, and roast potatoes, much of which is local, or geown/raised by the active farm land it's situated on.
My partner had the full roast, and both looked and tasted great. It's definitely worth a revisit. Thank you

Great food and service. Huge portions that filled us up on a sunny day. We sat outside and if you do the same you can skip the queue to be seated inside and order at the main counter.

INSANELY INCREDIBLE fish and chips.
Like beyond your expectations. The chips are perfectly cooked and the batter on the fresh white as snow fish is not just the most tasty I have ever had, but the most perfectly crisp.

The best fish and chips I have ever tasted. It is worth the 3 hour journey from Leicester just for my mouth to experience that wonder again.

Stopped here for breakfast on the August bank holiday. Place was already pretty full when we arrived at 9.45.

Wonderful freshly cooked food, generous portions but not cheap. Quick efficient and friendly service. Strongly recommended.

Had the small full-English breakfast which thankfully didn't have black pudding so strictly speaking was not 'full'. The sausages and bacon were superb, and the egg, tomato and mushrooms superbly cooked. The toast amazing.
The staff were a joy, such nice competent people.
You have a choice of three dining areas; inside, outside under a roof, or picnic tables in the open air.
And there is the best farm shop for miles around.
For the kids there is a large play area.
So quality everywhere but then naturally pricy.
Thoroughly recommend.

The best farm shop café for 10s of miles.

The menu covers everything and the food is fantastic. The fact that this is in the heart of a working farm with produce gathered and prepared locally, makes it even more special.

We have family who travel for hours to see us and always make it a part of their return journey to stop and stock up on either a meal at the café, or for meats, cheeses, vegetables, and treats from the farm shop next door.

We stopped off here on our way home from the Forest of Dean for some breakfast. The large breakfast really is large and it’s brilliant. The staff are so friendly and everything was cooked to perfection and all dietary requirements were met. We love coming to this farm shop and cafe when we are in the area. I’d recommend a cake from the shop or counter too!

Came as a family of 7 today (with 2 children) and had a great experience! Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating (especially Dee 😊)! Would recommend to all and will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Best breakfast (and best value) for miles around, and with excellent service. Fish and chip shop and other cafe dining also excellent. A wonderful farm shop complete with Jon Thorners butchery, a fishmonger and deli counter. Much home-produced meat and grocery items. Gift shop and playground for the kids. It's a destination.

This place sells an unbelievable Sunday lunch. For a very reasonable price my plate was piled high (really really high!) with quality food. Coupled with a few of the usual animals you'd expect on a farm (pigs/piglets and chickens etc) on display and a huge play area for children (climbing frames, peddle tractor area, sand pit and mini football pitch) will definitely be returning!
