Cornmarket Cafe

Have family visiting for the week. There were 9 hungry people this morning. And the lovely ladies in The Cornmarket Cafe welcomed us all. Everyone ate all of their meals. Absolutely delicious! Lovely hot food Husband and Brother said 'the best bacon they have ever had' And a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be back again.

No frills unpretentious friendly cafe serving the classics. Recommended when you need a recovery full English. The bacon was among the best I've ever had!

Good old-fashioned unpretentious 'Greasy Spoon' style cafe.

Shame there's not more of these about nowadays.

Lovely Brie Bacon and Cranberry toastie with a garnish of salad, a few chips and lovely coleslaw. Perfect working lunch.

We had a lunchtime roast meal,good portions friendly staff and only a short time to wait

The café has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. We had 2 small breakfasts and a jacket; all good was delicious and the portion sizes were great for the money. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the town (we aren't local), or anyone in general!

Reasonably priced. Clean. Tidy. Has toilets. No issues.

Really friendly staff who couldn't have done more to help us, even bringing out a bowl of water as soon as they saw we had our dog with us.
The food, jacket potato with toppings and salad was very good. The cold drink was just that.
They had 2 menus, one gluten free.

Lovely homily feel and proper homemade food

I went in a little late, girls were cleaning up. Nevertheless, they were happy to make me a cottage pie and vegetables with gravy. Fabulous. Very friendly too. Thank you. M.

A rather tasty breakfast washed down with strong tea and a beer. Good little place, will come back when next in the area! Very expansive menu!

Really lovely little place, the food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are many options to eat and drink. Plenty of space and a definite favourite with the locals, it can get really busy! Food can sometimes take a little while to arrive if it’s really busy but usually you don’t have to wait too long at all. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely food but size of portions reduced from our last visit

A lovely family feel cafe, welcoming and friendly. A good choice of food, which I would say is traditional cafe meals; ham eggs and chips, full English breakfast, burger and chips, pasty and chips, sandwiches etc.

A fantastic no-nonsense café with a great breakfast menu. My wife wanted poached instead of fried eggs with her breakfast and this was no problem. Proper mug of tea too! I highly recommend this place if you're after an excellent value, high quality and swiftly served breakfast.

We ate a very tasty full English medium sized breakfast. There are a large variety of dishes on the menu, to suit all tastes. The service was fast and the waitress very pleasant.
