The Market Place Blackwood

Small market in Blackwood next to the bus station for easy travel links. Popped in to collect fruit and vegetables from the veg stall and pick up some beautiful meat from the butchers stall. Brilliant value for money. I even popped into the bakery shop opposite the veg stall for some scrumptious corned beef pie.
Well, it's worth a visit, there's other stalls on site to suit many requests.

A very nice place to shop. As its virtually an all flat place its easy to get around. Bus station is in walking distance, which is ideal.

Lots of shops on the high street and next to a retail park. Very few shops closed. A thriving centre. Bigger town centre shoping area then expected as Blackwood is not a very big area.

Not our first visit, our favourite go to place for good coffee and absolutely delicious food, whether it's a slice of cake, sandwich or meal, there's plenty of it, and always fresh.

Lovely, cafe, great food, reasonable prices, unfortunately public loo,s are all shut, but the market cafe will allow you to use their loo, where the food (as above) excellent,, plenty of bargains, of expensive brands names can be had in a few of the second hand shops,, pleasant bus ride 30mins from pontypool,,public loo now opened 50p turnstyle and many lovely cafes in main street outdoor Market on Friday

I like shopping in asdas my family and myself have shopped there for years. We like the choice, the staff are helpful and very polite. My only bad point is people smoking by the trolleys at the entrance not nice when you dont smoke or have young kids as we do. And single drivers parking in disabled ir parent only parking.

Good range of shops, the shopowners are friendly, the prices are competative and the cinema is very good in all fairness. Great local high street shopping experience...even has an authentic village idiot who wanders up and down the main high street swearing blindly that UFO's regularly land in nearby Parc Penallta and stole his dog.

Great outdoor space with clothes shops and record shop,there's travel agents a post office and much more

Have been back to Blackwood SC many times now and I love this lovely little town. It has everything for me. A good high street (with a cinema) market, shopping precinct and quaint little cafés. Inexpensive parking to bring the punters in so a win win for everyone. My only regret, I should have bought the blue handbag but I'm an eejit sometimes!! 🙁but another excuse to go back....... 😊

Market open ,i think ,3 days s wk good array of shops and cafes. And bus's next door 😁..oh and don't forget the free parking next to ice land.😅

Go to Nick's cafe which does great food and staff are very friendly.

This was a lovely spot just off a great High Street. Market Days Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Such great friendly people reminded why I love this area. And I loved the post box too!

The market place cafe is a great place to meat up inside and outside so the food is cooked fantastic and the tea coffee is very good.

Great shopping area lots if shops open even thru eased lockdown. Local shopkeepers very friendly and all other shops have helpful and friendly. Easy parking and close to main shops.
