Really nice shop! It has everything you could need.

Excellent store with good selection of groceries. The shop doesn’t sell newspapers but it had items during the pandemic that the supermarkets didn’t have like flour. Really handy shop to have.

Had the same experience as the previous reviewer being asked ridiculous irrelevant questions about my age instead of answering I produced valid ID showing I’m 26 years old to be told the picture doesn’t match. Never experience this before. Shopkeeper is rude won’t be using this shop again.

Very bad experience from recent purchases in the store.

I was buying a pack of beer at the store, and it is reasonable to being asked for a valid ID proof.
When I was paying at the counter, I was firstly asked how old I am by the staff. And when I was about to answer the question, the staff rephrase the question to "What is your age?!" in a bad manner. After my response, I was not trust by the staff unfortunately and I was asked to provide a valid ID.
I then provided my valid ID card, but I was asked if I am a tourist/if I am living here/are you working here/etc, repeatedly. I understand this is the responsibility of store owner to agree anyone who seems younger than 25 to purchase alcohol from their store. But having lots of irrelevant questions to ask to their consumer can be avoided and not necessary. It just makes his customers feeling in a police station.. and even, makes me feel discriminated by the staff unfortunately..

This is a terrible experience..

I would definitely avoid purchasing anything from here! I literally brought a vape that was completely empty!! I came back after opening it 10mins later and even showed him that it’s not working and he refused to take it back, refund or exchange it and had the audacity to blame me. Completely awful service and I definitely won’t be coming back here and will be telling everyone I know not too aswell. There goes there reputation in a small area like Leith.
