Purchased my first log burner and shopped around for good quality hardwood logs. The prices were rapidly shooting through the roof. A neighbour recommended ‘Holts’ and I looked at their website. I took a chance and ordered a ‘full load’ by completing their online form. Next day got a call and set a delivery date that suited. There was a bit of a waiting list (I can understand why). On the morning of delivery, the driver contacted me to confirm I’d be in. Right on time, the delivery came. Absolutely over the moon with the quality and quantity. This firm is unbeatable- will definitely be making a return order, thank you Holts team you’ve put my faith back into decent hard working companies

Took a big chance and ordered a full load of logs after coming across Phil’s website by accident.

I’ve burnt kiln dried logs and yes they are very good but expensive and I’ve used air dried with mixed success. However, Phil’s logs are superb, light well, burn well and really good value for money. Have a read on his website, he knows his stuff and this is the reason I took a gamble. Plus you get a great amount of logs for your money.

The delivery driver couldn’t have been more helpful and got our load as close as he could to our garage which involved him reversing his trailer up hill and round parked vehicles.

Be warned a full load is a lot of logs and will take a good while to stack but oh so worth the effort. Will be ordering again for next winter.

I was miffed at first that the logs were offloaded onto the roadway in front of my house...BUT......the reason is sensible too.
There isn't enough time in the day for the drivers to deliver and then run the logs around and stack them for everyone.
I love the logs; it took me a while to stack them and then I had a cup of tea, set up both my wood burners and lit the fires.
The logs are air dried not kiln dried and burn beautifully with even and consistent heat output.
I will be buying from Phil Holt again and I would thoroughly recommend his business to anyone who wants quality wood or coal.

You can get logs cheaper from other suppliers but if you want locally sourced logs that are well seasoned these guys are the best.

Good quality logs at a reasonable price and small enough for my wood burner. Had to wait a while for delivery but they are extremely busy and rightly so, five stars from me.
