What a fantastic escape. Great location, beautiful countryside.. The staff have been incredible. Thank you Mark, Wayne, John 👍 The food is a different level and the rooms with hot tubs were so spacious and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Neat and clean unit with everything you need to have a self catered break. We loved the hot tub after a day out sight seeing and enjoying what the area offers.

One thing that a lot of places “skimp” on is the beds. We did not enjoy the bed or even the pull out sofa bed.

What a wonderful find. The food is Michekin recommended and truly deserves to be. 4 of us could find absolutely nothing to fault. 2 courses worked put at £30 per person. Very reasonable for such high quality food. Lovely welcome by the manager and his team.

Just the best experience. Lovely location, some of the best food I've eaten in a while - especially the breakfast. I'll try and post a picture too.. friendly staff. I recommend asking them what to order as they seem to pick the best!

We went for dinner this evening- and wow! A huge thank you to the manager and his team for their excellent service, and the food was out of this world! Absolutely delicious, and the soufflé was the best I’ve ever eaten! Lovely place, friendly staff, will be back again and again now we’ve moved to the area! Thanks to the team for a lovely evening!

The Baiting Inn was recommended to us by Astley Vineyard as we were looking for a lunch spot. Wow! What a recommendation! Gorgeous food, excellent service, they fitted us in without a booking and everything about the whole dining experience was exceptional! They made us feel very welcome and they really looked after us! The main course was delicious but my favourite was the bread with marmite butter!! When I am back here, I will definitely drop in for another visit! ❤

On holiday in the area for a few days, ate here on our last night, so glad we did. Food was amazing, inventive, beautifully presented and so tasty. Every course was a joy. Staff were great, very friendly and professional. May come back to the area just to ear here.

Please ignore the negative reviews of this establishment which it has received recently,

My partner and I have recently stayed and dined at the Baiting House, and wow,
We are both lost for words.

Accommodation firstly how well placed and designed the lodges are especially with hot tubs which the water is personally a perfect temperature with amazing views especially in the hot tub with a pint of Guinness nearby.

The food the main talking point, we was sceptical to start off with to reading negative reviews recently left on there google page however you cannot judge a place from just the reviews..

My partner had the lamb shoulder and chocolate cake for desert wow she was mind-blown and lost

I personally had the fillet of beef and parfait and English strawberry’s,
Again I am lost for words of how well balanced and beautiful these dish’s were.

Guinness - Marc we spoke at length of my travels around the world and Guinness in different countries aswell as at home here in England. This has to be one of the best pints of Guinness I have had in Herefordshire.

The Baiting house staff were all welcoming and professional.

Suzanna and I look very much forward to coming back to the baiting house in the near future.

Thank you so much,

Top marks for this little gem. Had an amazing stay here for an overnight. We ate in the restaurant and stayed in a studio lodge with hot tub.
The food was excellent. We absolutely loved the imaginative starters, the smoked fishcake was very reminiscent of a kedgeree and the shredded duck brought to mind those little Chinese duck pancakes with the lovely freshness of the cucumber and spring onion garnish.
The lamb main was exceptional, with fresh mint sauciness accompanying the melt in the mouth lamb. I had the gammon belly with spicy pineapple which was a fantastic combination.
We declined desserts as we were full and were presented with two delightful macarons which were the best I've ever had.
So fluffy, crisp and perfectly chewy all at the same time. The slightly chilled gooy interior was a joy. The flavour was orange which I generally dislike but no, it was more orange blossom, slightly sweet and very light. Wonderful.
The lodge was very welcoming and done out in calming teal colours. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. We used the hot tub 3 times and it was super clean, in the evening we enjoyed some champagne in the hot tub listening to the birds tweeting and the sheep bleating up on the hill side. I can definitely recommend sitting in the tub late at night and counting the stars. We will be back soon most definitely

Visited for the third time whilst passing through the area and excellent service and excellent food once again. Dog friendly table provided with treats left for the dog. This is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. Highly recommend

Highly recommend this place. We stayed for 1 night in their Skye lodge that comes with a hot tub. Room is small which is fine and is also dog friendly at an additional cost. Only downside (weather permitting) is you have to park your car at the pub after dropping your stuff off in the lodge, which is fine as long as it’s not pouring down. Our front door was catching which meant we had to slam it close and push hard to open, it appears the door has dropped judging from the gaps, but still felt warm inside. The hot tub was nice and hot when we got inside and straight forward to use. It was pouring down with rain but the warmth of the hot tub outweighs the rain massively! We booked to have dinner at the pub which is also dog friendly (but make the staff aware prior to booking). All the staff from arriving and coming for dinner were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had the Welsh rarebit to start and the steak as main. Didn’t have room for dessert as the meals are filling. Very Reasonably priced food. We both slept well, however, would be nice to have firmer pillows (each to their own), the pitch black view and the occasional sound of owls was perfect. For breakfast, we both had a full English, both came with sourdough toast and that was amazing as well. Few towns & villages nearby, with a guide showing you things to do and see. Will be definitely coming back at some point again

We stay at the Baiting house several times a year. It’s our perfect place away from our hectic life. Relaxed isn’t the word it’s heaven.

Such a lovely place for a meal out. Food was out of this world.l - just excellent. Service was friendly but professional and we were made to feel welcome and special. We had a drink at the bar beforehand and the bar was wonderful, cosy and friendly. I couldn't recommend this place more if you're looking for a romantic meal out.

Absolutely sensational evening meal and yummy breakfast following a comfortable stay in one of the on site lodges. What a hidden treasure this place is! The staff were all fabulous and did I mention the food? Honestly no words to describe how fantastic this place is! We hope to be back again soon!

We booked out all of the lodges and rooms for us and our family & friends as we got married at the nearby Bredenbury Court Barns.
Charlotte was amazing prior to us arriving at sorting out the bookings as people were staying different lengths of times. I also arranged with her pizza and drinks the night before the wedding which was amazing. Such a good pre-wedding get together with our friends and family. They even catered for our gluten free guests.
We also got the chance to eat in their restaurant one of the nights and the food was absolutely beautiful, can’t fault it!
We had a lot of compliments from our family about the lodges, I know some of our guests made the most of their hot tubs.
Also a shout out to Mark he was incredibly lovely and helpful during our stay!
The only comments I can make is that some outside lighting round the paths to the lodges would be good just when you are walking back from the pub at night.
Highly recommend here!!
