Ramble Worldwide

I went on the Dobbiaco and the Tre Cime holiday in July 2024. This was an excellent holiday overall. The walks are very well designed and the scenery is beautiful. There are frequent rest points during the walks and, where possible, people can choose to stop and wait or leave the walks. There is a good variety of walks (lakes, forests and mountains) and the walk leader was excellent. I would recommend this holiday for those who want to see some of the most stunning scenery in the Dolomites and also want to do some enjoyable walking without the demands of the higher grade walks in the region.

I had a fantastic week on the High in the Alpujarras holiday over New Year.

It was a really well-planned week with fantastic routes and a great leader. It far exceeded my expectations, which were already high. Probably helped by a nice group of people and great weather

Lake Como trip (level 2) was outstanding. Our leader Elaine was excellent and planned our days with lovely surprises along the way. The scenery was outstanding, stunning walks with variation in the views, lovely restaurants, delicious food, comfortable accommodation. The boat rides across the lake were amazing.
The villas and their gardens stunning. The group was small, and we enjoyed each other's company. One fantastic trip.

The Oman walking holiday is excellent! Wonderful scenery, great drivers and lovely people. We had a real welcome from everyone we met.

My first Winter Adventure, snowshoeing in Bach , Austria and will not be my last! The holiday exceeded my expectations from day 1! Everything was well organised, walks and scenery fabulous, hotel comfortable with a homely feel. I honestly cannot fault anything. Our walk leader Tania was excellent and went above and beyond what was expected. I am already looking towards booking another snowshoe holiday maybe in another location so I have a comparison. Overall an excellent experience and good value. 👌

High in the Dolomites a truly wonderful experience with excellent leaders who tailored walks to ensure we saw and got the most out of this week in a dramatic landscape.

Excellent hotel, food, walks, leader and fellow walkers. Could not find any fault at all and would thoroughly recommend this holiday in Catalonia.

This holiday is in beautiful, pristine country, with well-marked trails. Some steep ascents and rocky paths, but rewarding views and flora and fauna. An excellent hotel in a lovely stone village. One for seasoned walkers, this fully deserves a five star rating.

I had a week’s walking holiday with Ramblers at Maria Alm in Austria which was very enjoyable. The hotel was immaculate and the food was good and plentiful. The scenery was spectacular.

The leaders were excellent and put a lot of thought into adjusting the walking programme when the weather wasn’t good or public transport wasn’t available.

Our first Ramblers Holiday ticked all the boxes for accommodation, itinerary, good leader and friendly fellow walkers. Already booked another.

This is one of the most incredible Ramblers tours that I have been on. The Victoria Falls were breathtaking (and quite wet!), the wildlife stunning, and the scenery magnificent. Whilst a number of the transfer journeys were quite long, this had been expected and actually the 24-seater truck used by the organisers (Nomad Africa Adventure Tours) was actually quite comfortable bearing in mind the quality of some of the roads. And anyway, we had a number of 'comfort stops', some of which had their own special attributes (e.g. some fabulous apple pie!).
Our Ramblers Tour Leader (Sarah) could not have been more helpful, and ranks up there with the best that I have had with Ramblers. And our team from Nomad (Saima and Gift) were also first class.
All in all, a wonderful tour; I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Guided walking with Michael as our guide. Trails and tavernas in Crete based in Chania is my first ever walking holiday and I loved it. Perfect holiday, weather not so much but can't do anything about that. Would definitely book again.

An amazing combination of cruising around Iceland and Faroe, with group walks from every port. Nick was an amazing leader who made sure we got the best experience from the trip, despite some bad weather and sailing changes.

The Ramblers Walking Holidays I took "Catalonian Trails" was excellent. The hikes were exactly my level of ability and interest, the scenery spectacular, and the accommodations and (especially) meals were outstanding.

Wonderful! Good hotel, excellent guide and exploration of castles, monasteries and churches. Nothing rushed, so most relaxing and everything organised for you, so no stress.

Natural Parks of Southern Spain. A very well put together holiday. Contrasting walks. Great leaders. Good company. Weather – rather mixed, but did not detract from enjoyment of holiday.

My first Ramble Worldwide guided walking holiday in La Gomera was absolutely fantastic; I enjoyed everything about it. La Gomera is a very pretty island and the walks were varied and beautiful. The hotels were perfect, with good locations, good food and comfortable rooms as well as great views (either of mountains or the sea!), and they were both immaculately clean. The walks stretched me, but I knew before I went that they would. The group were just lovely to spend time with. I wasn't sure if they might be a bit 'sniffy' about newbies who hadn't been on a walking holiday before, but they were the very opposite - very encouraging, supportive and friendly. The itinerary and arrangements were very well planned and logistics went smoothly. It was good to have a bit of down time at the start and end and a rest day in the middle of the holiday; made it a nice pace. Our guide, Michael Moloney, was I think (and speaking to other more experienced Ramblers) one of the best!! A consummate and passionate professional who guided and looked after us beautifully; he is one of those people in life that when you meet them, you you feel grateful to have crossed paths with. I will certainly seek him out again; a truly lovely soul!
