The Victorian Tea Rooms

A lovely teashop in the very atmospheric setting in Shackerstone Station on the Battlefield Heritage Railway Leicestershire.

Good value for money and nicely laid out old fashioned tablets and chairs etc..

A lovely step back in time to how stations and trains used to be and within the lovely station is the Victorian tea room. A really authentic setting and at the time of writing, selling deliious take away food and drinks.
There is seating outside and tables can be reserved.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Had a beautiful bacon cob at the Shackerstone station tea rooms, very relaxing visit which is the norm for this establishment as visited on numerous occasions as this heritage railway is less than 5 miles from home

Best Sunday this Summer, best coffee and carrot cake

A step back in time, atmosphere great. Plenty of Victoriana to gaze at while eating. Open fire & good selection of hot & cold food.

We always have a lovely visit to this very nice tea room. It's a nice cosy place and has a charming atmosphere. Lovely food and drinks. Highly recommended.

A very interesting tea room. The food was good and well presented . Lots on display to look at .

An open fire and very hard working staff made our visit very enjoyable. Hot chocolate and cheese and onion roll consumed , great prices £6.50 for the roll, hot chocolate and a latte. Really enjoyed it. Would come back to visit this place would recommend.

A lovely place to visit and have a snack.

Visited in winter when there are no trains running, so the battlefield line car park is closed, but you can park on the lane in the village and walk to the cafe (follow the signs). It looked closed on the approach but don't be put off! You can use the side gate on to the platform, although I think when the trains are running you have to pay for a platform ticket to access the cafe. Coffee and cake, pasties and filled rolls. Cafe is full of railway memorabilia and victoriana and a coal fire blazing when we visited, some indoor seating and some out on the platform. Definitely worth dropping in!

Absolute brilliant experience lovely staff and the food is absolutely gorgeous and fresh and the coffee is better in most well-known outlets

Our art group had a lovely day out at the station and finished off with great food at the tea rooms!. Hot /cold batches, pasties, vegan choice too, coffee and delious fresh cake, etc. all reasonably priced. I can highly recommend it! Lovely staff!

What a superb place. Full of atmosphere and the kitchen was very accommodating or the veggies.
