A gorgeous stop for coffee, soup (large portions!) and baked goods. Other than that there are three huge rooms with antiques and crafts from the local community. Do not miss.

We love bringing our guests here for a very unique experience. The shop is an incredible step back in time. The refreshments are delicious. The ambience very relaxing and welcoming. Be sure yo ask about the friendship quilt. An incredible tale.

Quirky. If your looking for fast modern service go somewhere else. If you have the time to relax and enjoy this then we'll worth it! Friendly staff, gorgeous garden, chilled atmosphere. Looks closed until you walk through what looks like someone's front door!

This is a stunning visit, quite unlike anywhere else. To call it unique is not really stretching a point. Very friendly owners and great cakes in the cafe. A must see if you're in the area.

Astounding place! Wow what a find, we stopped here for lunch, it's amazing! Really interesting place, extremely historic shop (see my photos) which is a museum piece and a MUST SEE. Excllent food freshly made and best enjoyed in the riverside garden. Great service, great feeling, great owners and great place. If I could leave more stars I would, it really is that good! A winner 🏁

A brilliant place to stay for touring accommodation on route. Fantastic coffee and breakfast with very comfortable overnight lodging. We stay here every year on our annual Boy' s Classic Car Retreat into Wales.

Old curiosity type place, ancient and interesting things at every turn. Very good coffee and tantalising selection of cakes. Transport it all to a table beside the River Ithon and be swept away into a chapter of Wind in the Willows.
Engage the owner into the history of the area and you will leave appreciating this little gem even more. Highly recommended.

A great place for tea /coffee and a treat or light lunch. Includes interesting local museum of the original Thomas Shop and beautiful hand made items and materials.

Went just for tea and a scone, and stayed for what seemed like hours. Amazing place - coffee shop, museum, wool shop, etc, etc - and full of old stuff that must have taken years to collect, and items from local people for sale. Add to that a proper pot of tea (3 cups) and quite possibly the best scone I've ever eaten, all served on old mixed china (complete with chipped teapot which I loved) with jam and cream served in glass bowls (no silly plastic pots of jam or little rectangles of butter in foil wraps). I just loved the whole experience and will be going back on a regular basis.

Quirky doesn't even begin to describe this place, it's a museum with lots of local quirky things for sale, we had the Penybont tea, with the most delicious flapjack I've ever tasted, but obviously not as good as my girlfriend makes ( had to say that), and a terrific cake and a cup of tea all for £5.50, well worth a visit
