Lovely community run pub with local ales. Went a few months ago and there was a really nice outdoor space and a pop up pizza van. Great vibe and staff were really friendly. Would go back!

Now Community owned with a pop up cafe Saturdays 12-6pm, and Pub on Fridays and Saturdays 6-10pm. Amazing people great community feeling. Today they also had the local OriginPizzadotcom on site. A Must visit !!!!

More progress made from the hard working team behind the Oxford's transformation. Supporting events like today's will help them make it into something good for Kington

New community ownership is already breathing new life into this incredible place. I wish it all the best and hope that the Oxford Arms may stand for hundreds of years yet!

Landlord is extremely friendly and welcoming. Had a delicious meal - nothing pretentious - good honest fare cooked and seasoned to perfection. Couldn't have asked for better. If you are walking the Offa's Dyke Path as we were, then cannot recommend highly enough!

The friendliest place I've ever visited in my whole life, 2 visits in 1 week! 4 generations of 1 family and we all loved it! The chef cooks better steak than Gordon Ramsay and the landlord was a true gent, 6 stars!!

If you can see past the tired inside, this is a fabulous place! Lovely local landlords, local people inside. Very friendly bunch and the food was absoloutely delicious with a menu with lots of choice. Go on, give it a go!

The warmest welcome! Knowing I had been on a long walk, I was shown to a table near the fire. Mouthwatering menu, hearty portions, a cheerfulness that warmed my heart as much as the fire did. Huge thanks. This was just perfect.

Walking is highly popular, having access to Offa's Dyke and also Hergest Ridge (pronounced Hargist). There is a Small Breeds Farm in Kington, fascinating for both young and old. Kington town itself has great and varied shops that are always worth a visit whether you are shopping for yourself or others. The town also holds two fabulous food fairs during the year, in the summer and another nearer Christmas.

Despite a tired appearance, superb genuinely home cooked food, washed down with quality beer. (At present Hobsons from Cleobury Mortimer but other local beers such as Woods from Craven Arms at times available) Could happily feel you're following the contented path of 19th Century travellers without having to endure a hourney by stagecoach.

Don't be fooled by appearances. This was one of the best home cooked meals we've had in ages. Great main and fabulous pudding. Best meal in Kington

Not the first time we have stayed here (!) and it won’t be the last. Clean, cosy, comfortable rooms. Great food and drink, and very friendly waiting staff, Fred is a gem!

Located near the centre of Kington, ate here on several evenings. Excellent home cooked food, very good for vegetarians and meat eaters equally, friendly attentive service in an old fashioned coaching inn. Highly recommend.

Top marks for the beer (not a huge choice but what's there is kept well). Great atmosphere. Friendly company. Brilliant landlord.

Good old fashion pub with a good restaurant the food is proper good home cooking, the vegetables are cooked to perfection and the lamb with home made gravy and mint sauce absolutely delicious, a perfect Sunday roast,

Geat atmosphere, very welcoming and great excellent food. The beer again was excellent - with a great range due to beer festival.

Lovely Sunday dinner and desserts, home cooked food and good value. Friendly landlord, which goes a long way. Dog friendly too.

The owner was extremely kind and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The food was great, the lamb burger was quite good.

Large 17th Century Coaching Inn with excellent food (but avoid the fried breakfast) and beer. Kingsize bed, ensuite with good shower, friendly efficient staff and excellent value.
