Spring Field Dark Skies Camping

Such a lovely little campsite, great for a couple nights. Owners Malcol and Linda were amazing. Toilets clean, no showers yet but plans to add soon. Superb views it felt a million miles away from the city 👌♥

I am at a loss where to start about what we liked about this beautiful site! From the moment you leave the main road and travel through the lovely winding county lanes to this site passing farms and lovely houses, on arrival you pass through a slightly sloping treelined driveway, at the end of which is an electric wooden gate which opens on arrival passing into a large gravel area with three lovely cottages and a grassed area and what seemed to be a walled area with another wooden gate next to a large oak tree, there is sign which tells you to “stop here to be booked in” which we did and was greeted by one of the owners, Linda, who told us all about the site and directed us up through the other gate to the a large camping field with simply stunning views over the Shropshire hills, and greeted by Linda’s husband, Malcom, who offered advice on where best to park and told us to choose where we wanted to go. The site is well manicured and clean, there is one toilet which was spotless, a washing up area, elsan point and drive over water drain. Linda and Malcolm were very friendly and informative, always on hand if needed but not intrusive. The camping area is very spaced out so you don’t feel crowded at all however is slightly sloping but thanks to the advice from Malcome we managed to park level with no need for ramps. There was about 7 other families/couples on site that weekend and we all had more than enough space. Most of us had at least one four legged friend with us and they were all very well behaved and no noise. On our second night we light the communal camp fire and was later joined by a few of the other campers and had a lovey evening chatting, comparing life stories and having a few drinks! The site is perfect and we didn’t want to leave, in fact my husband asked Linda and Malcolm to adopt him!!!! Looking forward to returning again very soon

Wow! This place is absolutely fantastic! The views are amazing watching the sunset was lovely, massive area for kids to run around and burn some energy, lovely fire pit in the middle, free to use for all, easy access to toilets & washing up facilities, easy to get to water supply & electrics. Owners/management are the most loveliest people ever! They explain everything to you, showed us how to use things (we're 1st time campers) I couldn't not fault them one bit! I will highly recommend & will be going again! Thank you for everything :)

Unbelievable view! Were so lucky to have found this place. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Can't ask for more.
