Steph, Tony, Emma and their fellow colleagues are fantastic at the Oxford Rd store! They always help and are willing to drop everything to get you what you’re looking for. Being in the trade you just want to get what you need and get to your customers, these guys are always there and on hand to get the gear to you and on your way. I love Wicks and the Reading West branch is the best in the area!!

Went to Wickes Reading to get 40 bags of stones and a young lad there called Tom was absolutely amazing, he helped me load the 2 trolleys and pushed one for me
He then helped take them outside and helped load the van.
He did most of the bags as I have a bad back and could only do some
He was so helpful and deserves a shout out from a very grateful lady!

Click and collect service was flawless; everything loaded in my vehicle 4 min after parking up.
Plenty of useful advice from staff if you need it.
Decent sized, dedicated parking bays.

Went there to get Tiles Adhesive, paint for garden fence, paint brush and a paint sprayer. Luckily they were in the stock. But not many trollies outside to carry them, managed to get one finally.

Had a kitchen designed and ordered, Claire who helped me from design to last tiny fitting, she is a huge asset for Wickes best customer service I ever received. Thanks

Olivia at the front till was unbelievable! Even with the issues with wickes Head office she stayed calm and dealt with the problem. Amazing customer service.

Love the trade paint. Handy and local. Most own products are very good quality. Not always the cheapest and it takes a while to pull out onto the Oxford Rd from the car park on busy weekends.

Absolutely brilliant during lockdown, exceptional markings for social distancing and measured amount of people entering and leaving the store. Plentiful free parking. Well stocked and helpful staff!

Have been doing some major work in our back garden. All material was purchased from Wickes. Staff was very helpful in making sure we got all the right stuff and some good advice given on the way as well. Polite and great customer service. Very reasonable with their prices.

It’s like a tardis, it looks fairly big from the outside, but you go and it’s absolutely massive. Got everything in stock but screwfix tend to be a bit cheaper imo

Great variety of stuff. Wickes is kinda geared towards builders. But they are usually very helpful. There easy parking and a great place to get good food. In the-car. park A pet suppply is next door and Halfords very close

All good. Make sure you take your receipts when you pay for your goods, otherwise, you risk not being able to get credit back on any unused Wickes materials you purchased.

They have a good stock. Worth a look.
It's been a while since we last went t but found all that we wanted. Still a good stock.

Today I bought 3 Trade Paints. White silk oil based wood paint, Magnolia Vinyl Matt wall paint and white vinyl Matt ceiling paint.
They were much cheaper than Dulux, but I am extremely pleased with the quality. I will get back to you about longevitive.

I recently purchased Wickes Multi Purpose compost and it is the best I have ever bought. All my plug plants are thriving whereas last year with another well known brand of multi-purpose compost they hardly grew and I had a very bad show of plants.

Well organised for "distancing" and trolleys rourinely cleaned before use. Staff member was very helpful sourcing me some additional post fixings.
