The Hay Barn Cafe

Decided to call in on advice of friends and for a birthday lunch. The food was excellent, the staff were really friendly and we had a really nice time. Would definitely recommend you stop by if you haven't yet done so.

Excellent farm cafe. Passed it many times, but dropped in for coffees n cakes on one of our motorcycle days out. Also picked up some lovely meat from the farm shop.

Absolutely delicious Ploughman's Lunch. Had everything you could want, great pickle onions and relish. Lovely coffee and tea and cakes to die for.

Food was so delicious. I had salmon fish cakes, my husband had the pulled pork. Servings were very generous and filling. We also had Milkshakes which were delicious and wonderful homemade cakes. Everything was amazing. I would defintely recommend this cafe. Staff were really friendly too.

We turned up and was busy and using a buzzer system. Wasnt long before we were seated! We sat outside, we had the dog with us. Dogs were welcome inside but the first table that came up was outside. Lovely outside area. Food was amazing, we both had a breakfast and even took some cake home :) friendly helpful staff. We will definitely be back soon.

Excellent wait staff. Very polite and pleasant. I had eggs and they were beautifully poached with young spinach and smoked salmon. A very decent sized portion. My husband had the meaty ploughman's and said it was delicious and he was well stuffed. Very reasonable cost. Will certainly make this a regular place to visit.

As always, the Haybarn experience was wonderful. Today we had cream teas that included a large choice of finger sandwich fillings, dressed mixed salad, fruit pieces & cream, magnificent scones with jam & cream, plus a large slice of our choice of the day’s cakes (about 8 to choose from) & teas or coffees. Thank you, Team Haybarn, really delicious 🥰

Very good value for money. The staff are really friendly. The food is excellent. It's a small cafe. It's so popular you may have to wait up to 1/2 hr to 40 mins for a table. Your name is put on a waiting list and you are given a buzzer when a table becomes available.It is worth the wait. Unfortunately they don't take bookings. My friend and I had afternoon tea for two.

Recently ordered a whole cake for a birthday, looked and tasted fantastic and unbelievably good price.

Beautiful little cafe, lovely outdoor area and inside, good selection of beautiful cakes, service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful, they do children's portions of food and drinks also.

Enjoyed a nice drive out to have something to eat. First time of visiting the Hay Barn Cafe but had driven past on numerous occasions and thought how nice it looked. Pleasant and helpful staff, good range of food and drink that was well prepared and very tasty. The breakfast was spot on.We had an outside table and enjoyed the sunshine. Would highly recommend and we will be back at some point.

Haybarn is the most wonderful cafe. The food is always amazing - both on their standard menu and the delicious array of specials. The cakes are irrisistable and the staff are warm and welcoming. It's like going for lunch at a friends house! We genuinely look forward to every visit and its always worth the little wait if busy.

It is a Rustic 5 Star food. Such a fantastic taste. We come here often as family and some time with guests. Soup of the day is always a top-notch… if you have not eaten here than there is something missing in your life ❤

Drove past this establishment quite by accident, it looked inviting so I turned around and parked up. As they were very busy, we were handed a buzzer that vibrates when a table is free, which I thought was handy. We sat at a window seat overlooking the road. There were also blankets on the backs of the chairs to keep yourself warm. The food was delivered in good time and was delicious! The staff were very attentive and pleasant. I'll definitely revisit the next time I'm passing.

Lovely little gem, only a small seating area & it does get busy, but they have a queueing system & it’s worth the wait (it’s only a few minutes!)

First time visit after being recommended it by a friend. Had a light lunch, simple but very nice toastie. Then saw some cake served to a nearby table and decided I had to have some myself. Wow one of the best cakes I’ve ever had! I think there will be a return visit or two….

Wonderful impromptu lunch at the Hay Barn. First visit; won't be the last! Oodles of great food, friendly, helpful staff. Unsurprisingly, quite busy but staff very organised so it didn't take long to get served this and other food

Absolutely beautiful food and lovely staff. As it's so popular and people are waiting for tables, I felt a little rushed and 'hovered over' waiting to finish. I probably wouldn't go again for this reason, but everyone should go at least once as the food is truly amazing.
