Pennies from Heaven is AMAZING

The deluxe hot chocolate is lovely, rich and generous. The scones are warm and fresh - in a 4 week visit to Stamford I had lots of both!

What really sets the place apart are the staff. Whilst I was there, they were friendly and attentive, and very welcoming to every customer that came in.

The tearoom is spotlessly clean and very close to the High Street- only one minute away. All in all, highly recommended.

Lovely place, food was hand made and cooked just like home, and a very reasonable price. Staff were lovely. I would definitely recommend :-)

A lovely little tea shop, perfectly clean and a warm welcome. We only had hot chocolates and a toasted tea cake which were delicious so we have no doubt the food would be equally tasty.

Pretty little cafe with lovely decor, friendly staff, and very clean throughout. Wonderful cheese scone and a nice hot soup on a cold day. Highly recommended for a relaxing tea or lunch.

‘ style tea rooms with good old-fashioned (courteous and attentive) service to boot.
You won’t find smashed avocado or cold bortsch on the menu here. Just the hearty soups and other staples that we so know and love.
To cap it all, the manageress is a lovely girl, such that I might request the pleasure of her company for a coffee and cake on her evening off. Can’t wait!.

Lovely traditional tearoom. Menu not extensive as other cafes, however what is on the menu is yummy. Would definitely recommend.

Quintessential English tea shop. We had a delicious light lunch of quiche and green leaf salad and some featherlight coffee and walnut cake. Lovely tea shop, will definitely visit again.....and again.

After a couple of pleasant (but chilly) hours taking in the delights of Stamford and the grounds of Burghley House we were recommended this little eaterie by a neighbour who saw us peering at the menu. She was right. The bacon and scrambled eggs on buttered toasted wholemeal bread was delicious and we had a nice pot of tea (served in proper cups) in simple but very pleasant surroundings. The owner was delightful; welcoming, courteous and friendly. All at very reasonable prices. Strongly recommended.

Met with a pleasant welcome and told it was table service . Placed our order of scones jam&cream tea and asked for tea bag to be left out.BRILL place to call into nice crockery. Will call in again if in stanford

A delightful hidden gem of a cafe, friendly welcome, freshly cooked food, sensibly priced, and spotless toilets. Where else would you find a Banana & Cinnamon toasted sandwich on the menu. Will certainly visit again on our next trip to Stamford.
