What a fabulous day!! We booked for the lambing experience day, having pet sheep ourselves we wanted to get hands on and the day certainly delivered, literally! We assisted with birthing the lambs and Martin was a fantastic host, the knowledge gained and advice given was priceless! We also helped with some of the daily jobs around the farm. There was just myself and my friend on the day and we felt the smaller group made the day so much more personal. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, we were sad to leave!

Fabulous Sunday morning spent on the lamb feeding experience with our grandchild - not sure who enjoyed it more! The host (so sorry we didn’t remember your name!) was fantastic with the young children present and a font of knowledge about the animals in her care. Definitely a trip we will repeat!

Great back to basics campsite, some hard standing if it's wet, but good feild. Catherine is great, popping about place looking after her animals. Just arrive and park up. Toilets are very clean, the is a pot wash and an outside tap. Great walking area, and a river to paddle or dip in

I participated in a lambing experience day where I had the opportunity to assist in the birth of a triplet lamb. This hands-on experience provided me with valuable insights into the entire lambing process, farm operations and the duties of a farmer. The host was knowledgeable and willing to answer all of my questions. It was a very rewarding and educational experience that taught me a lot.

My friend & I booked on the lambing experience day on Sat 6th April. Martin was our host for the day & he was fabulous from start to finish involving us in many activities and tasks caring for the sheep, lambs & cows. Despite his busy schedule and extremely long hours he took the time to explain so much to us. He had a wealth of knowledge and was so patient.
My ultimate dream was to assist with the birth of a lamb and we were so fortunate to have hands on experience with this several times!
Was also a pleasure to meet other members of Martin’s family who were so friendly and welcoming. Thankyou so much to you all for such an amazing day. Hope to come back again next year.

We had a lovely family morning feeding the lambs and other animals. The kids loved the hands on nature of it and the price for the experience you get was amazing!

Absolutely fantastic, choose your pitch, nice flat ground and remote setting with easy access to public footpaths. Toilets very nice and clean but no showers (as advertised).

We really loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

What a lovely place! I visited at Easter with my grown up family. We were staying nearby and as I adore lambs the family had researched where we could visit and\or feed the baby lambs, so we found Hazel Brow by chance. When we arrived it was empty of visitors but there was a crowd having an outdoor picnic. This turned out to be the owners and their friends who were having a private gathering and the farm was closed. However, the very friendly and very kind lady invited us in to still look around. She showed us where the lambing ewes were kept and gave us a very knowledgeable talk on the ups and downs of lambing season. I was very happy to see how well looked after they are! We were then allowed to spend time with the orphaned lambs, and oh my... I felt like all my birthdays had arrived at once. We spent well over an hour cuddling and playing with the lambs, and the children that live on the farm (who were also very knowledgeable). We also had some time with the Alpacas and other various farm animals. It was so kind of the family to allow us in to still visit when they were having a private day, and they wouldn't charge us because it wasn't the full experience. I would have no hesitation to recommend this farm and thank you to the kind family that made my day!

Great back to basics camp site with Toilet and washing up facilities. No electric but didn't bother us with leisure batteries. Stunning views through the Yorkshire Dales😎

Great back to basics campsite in a perfect location surrounded by meadows, very clean with a really nice host.

Ideal base for walks which is ideal whatever you decide to undertake flat walk along the river or up onto the moors.

2nd time visiting……and still a really lovely little campsite! Beautiful setting and fabulous walks along the river. Perfect getaway for a camping weekend and we will definitely keep returning if they’re allowed to continue having a camping site on their field!
