I had an excellent experience and would highly recommend. The food is 10/10, the best Sunday lunch I’ve ever had and the gravy, it was just amazing. The staff were lovely, personal, friendly and complimented our dinning experience.

Popped in at short notice for a bite to eat with some friends. The food was lovely and the lamb in particular was really tasty. Staff were really helpful and friendly, and even brought out water and some bits of chicken for my dog!
Would definitely be back if I was local.

I’ve just eaten at this random pub because I am staying nearby for an event. I couldn’t believe how amazing the food was. I had slow cooked lamb with various veg. It was 9.5/10 (nothing gets 10 on this side of heaven) I was shocked at how good it was. Better than any London establishment I’ve ever eaten at, maybe it was because I was uber hungry! Not sure. But I would travel for miles to have this experience again. Please try it if you’re anywhere near 🤩

Booked last minute for a table of 7, with 3 dogs. Fabulous food, all served at the same time, plenty of veg served to the table too. Even brought the dogs some bowls of meat. Couple of puddings, again well presented and tasty. We'll certainly visit again.

We are on our way to North Wales from South Wales and wanted to stop in a nice country pub for lunch on the way. We couldn't find anywhere on the way and all we could think about was a ploughman's lunch. We passed this little pub and as soon as we seen it we turned around and went in hoping they had a table. Thankfully they had a table. The food was amazing. Plougmans lunch's, olives and bread and hummus and bread. The children's meals are also good value. Would visit again if we was ever in the area. Thanks for our lovely food.

Popped in here passing by on a Sunday hoping we might get a table for Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed! They were busy but they found us a table and were so attentive and friendly. And the food was absolutely amazing, it felt like Michelin star quality but it was so reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend this pub to anyone and we will make a special trip to return here too. Lovely people, lovely atmosphere and gorgeous food, all very reasonably priced.

Lovely place to stay, clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly. But the food was the real highlight of this place. We had the steak and butter chicken for main followed by the coconut tart for dessert and not a single mouthful was wasted. Possibly the best meal I've had in the past 12 months.

We visited the Salwey Arms for the breakfast sitting. The staff gave us a warm welcome and good service. We had to wait a bit before the full English breakfasts were served, but it just didn't matter - the sausages were great, bacon crispy and eggs lovely and runny. The building outside and in was all so clean and well presented, we will definitely go again. Oh, and good value!

Dinner for two with poodle was no problem for the delightful and engaging staff at this surprisingly busy bistro pub/hotel on a stormy Autumn Wednesday. A refreshingly varied menu at a reasonable price saw us tuck into venison cottage pie and pork belly with gusto. Excellent and attentive service from competent staff. Good wine list. Worth all of our five stars.

We didn't stay as we were at the Travelodge across the road, however we had an evening meal and two breakfasts here, all excellent. Great menu with locally sourced foods. Only the desserts were a let down.

Called on a trip home on spec. Got us a table although we hadn't booked. Food was great, staff and service was fantastic and lovely atmosphere.

I visited yesterday for an evening meal. We hadn't booked but we were greeted in a very friendly and welcoming way and shown to a table very quickly. Our food was exceptionally good, very high quality ingredients, cooked and presented perfectly. Every member of staff we met was pleasant and friendly. We will definitely be back.
