The Old Library Community Cafe

A perfect place for a little bit of lunch or a cake and a cuppa, especially if you have young kids! The kids corner is perfect to keep little ones entertained. And the handmade baby clothes being sold are amazing, my daughter loves her new dungarees!

The Old Library Community Cafe is a Cafe that I've been to a couple times now that I've been impressed with both times.

To begin, they're located a short walk from Caerphilly Castle and right next to a gorgeous park. There's about 10/15 parking spots directly opposite the cafe shared with the adjacent park.

Their selection of food, be it cakes or hot food is delicious. The few times I've been I have gone for their Bacon & Brie Panini - It comes piping hot, cheese properly melted with a side portion of crisps and their coffees are made perfectly.

They have large wall full of books that you're able to take home whenever you like - but remember to swap it out with one of your own books!

If you're visiting with kids there's a kids play area the opposite side of the cafe filled with activities to keep the little ones busy.

They also support a small business 'Tiny Giraffe Crafts' within the cafe where you can browse a variety of bits and Bobs.

Overall a lovely cafe with friendly staff, I'll defybe back!

Nice little coffee shop next to Morgan Jones Park. Always grab a coffee and a Welsh cake in there before going to the park.
It's split in two areas. One for families with small childer and the other which is normal (people not chasing kids around).

I held my daughter’s Baby Shower here. Buffet fabulous, venue perfect staff excellent

Great place to take kids as they have these play dens with fences which means you can actually relax a bit. Also they have provided nice toys to play with.

Lovely place for a catch-up & a Coffee ☕ Great Atmosphere. Very Friendly Service and Very Clean. We Didn't have anything to Eat but it all Looks Extremely Yummy 😋

This is the best place ever! Great coffee and amazing atmosphere. Excellent for families. There is always something going on, a great way to socialize in the community.

LOVE this place. Friday night board games is so inclusive and lots of one off games nights each month. Food and coffee is good. Staff are super friendly and it's dog friendly - what more could you want?

Always good here. Great kids play pen inside. Nice food with gluten free options. Coffee is great and it's right next door to Morgan Jones park.

Went here for tea and cake following a long walk around Caerphilly. Real community feel to it and very child friendly even down to the toilets. The cakes on offer were all tempting and were delicious. Really relaxed and chilled atmosphere. Right next to the park so the little one could be taken a short walk to have a run around.

What a lovely place, only 2nd visit, first was a takeaway for coffees, delicious. Called in this time for some lunch, spotless and such friendly staff, even when I spilt my coffee, it went everywhere and they were so nice, cleaned up whilst we sat at another table and topped up my coffee for me, thank you. Really nice atmosphere and lovely food, certainly be going back again.

A lovely little community centre. We stopped here for takeaway coffee as they were the only place open on a bank holiday recently, the coffee was lively and they had an array of cakes/snacks available too.

Absolutely lovely little community cafe. Local food and coffee, friendly staff. Facilities for baby changing with emergency nappies in case you forget! Play area for young children on one end and are happy to facilitate local community groups meeting up. Well worth a visit and a walk around the nearby Morgan Jones Park.

Great coffee,in my opinion the best in Caerphilly! Lovely laid back cafe,really good children's area,love visiting here ,especially as I used to use this library as a child

Great place for an afternoon cup of tea or coffee

Great little cafe to have next to the park. A choice of Hemp Milk for a animal free alternative is great. Also the Vegan Coconut Flapjack is great, I hope you can one day add more vegan friendly options to your cakes or fridge (:

In a handy location right next to Morgan Jones Park it makes this cafe a good place to take the children to escape the rain or even drop by on a warm day for refreshments. There is plenty to do with a range of toys, board games and even planned treasure hunts around the park. The soup I had to keep me warm on my first visit was amazing and we have been back many a time since.

This has become my favourite meetup location in Caerphilly. Excellent quality cafe, has a superb atmosphere, really lovely staff and children facilities. They are really active in the Caerphilly community too! All around ace! Visit if you're in Caerphilly! You won't be disappointed ;-)
