The Chocolate Gourmet

I don't normally indulge in buying myself posh chocolates but I was on holiday......! What a treat, the chocolates were amazing and I didn't dare share any. I can also recommend the ice-cream, truly scrumptious. Service was good, very lovely friendly lady that served us. Don't miss this treat if you are in Ludlow. Obviously it's good for gifts too if you aren't as selfish as me!

I have been going into the chocolate shop for eight years and not once have I been disappointed. I’ve read other reviews criticising the price of their ice cream. Well, all I can say is that you get what you pay for. Same with the chocolate. Their handmade chocolates are to die for. And for a chocoholic it’s an absolute dream come true. They also have a selection of chocolate boxes, and they are exquisite. So, long after you’ve polished off the contents you have a gorgeous box as a keepsake.

Really nice little shop, the young lady who served us was very attentive and polite. The chocolate is really good and so is the ice cream. Would very much recommend a visit if you have some spare cash to spend on some fancier chocolates. They make for good gifts!

THE best chocolates me and my partner have ever had! We are forever buying ‘nice’ chocolates from Hotel Chocolat and Waitrose etc, and neither come close to The Chocolate Gourmet!! We only stopped here on our way through and it’s such a shame that it’s 3.5 hours away from home for us. We vow to return however - one day!

Given the tiny space, I can understand why the staff would not allow an unmasked customer in. No need for a 1 star though. It's a wonderful shop with such a great range of delicious treats!

The service here goes above and beyond. I've shopped here in person and online a few times and never been disappointed with the service or the quality. You get exactly what you pay for here. However, as I live in the USA, and order from here for my mum, a recent experience needs to be shared! i ordered a box for mother's day 2019 and heard from my mum that they had been hand-delivered by the shop the next day as there was a problem with the post office in Ludlow and she wouldn't have received them in time any other way. What kind of store provides that kind of service these days?! Not many. If you're in the market for top-of-the-line chocolate look no further, this place is incredible.

Very sorry to read about someone's else's experience here. I have been using The Chocolate Gourmet for many years now for Easter eggs and birthday gifts. Before I moved away, they were always personally delivered by hand to my home as one of the staff lived nearby. The chocolate is excellent and no-one has ever been disappointed with the quality or the service. I wouldn't go anywhere else especially as there are now so many on-line chocolatiers to choose from.

Amazing. Been to stay in the castle many times and always gone here yes the service may be a little slow sometimes but I am always greeted with a friendly welcome I especially recommend the rosy apples they are BRILLIANT. But overall an amazing little shop

An easy place to shop, we use it both for boxes of chocolates for special occasions and for one off treats and stocking fillers.
