Called in today and given 5 star guide to his collection of quality antiques by the owner. Very friendly guy, very knowledgeable. No pressure to buy, (wish I could have afforded several items). Made our day in Ludlow special.

Although it's tucked away along a pleasant little alleyway, it's will worth a visit to this lovely antique shop. It's got a good selection of affordable antiques only a stone's throw from Ludlow's main centre and very close to the ancient Feathers Inn, which is worth a look too!

BEWARE: No better place to call it a SCAM. I recently bought two bronze stag sculptures to be delivered in the USA. You can see in the photographs the condition in which they were delivered. To cut corners, Mr Peter Marten, the owner of SwS, informed me that he did the packaging himself (appallingly) and shipped the sculptures uninsured. When I informed him about the damage he told me that he had to save some money and that, technically, he was responsible only until the sculptures left his store. And then, magnanimously offered me £200 as “a gesture of goodwill”.
Dear reader, decide for yourself if this is the kind of individual you want to do business with. I learned my lesson well, albeit painfully.
