A beautiful 7-acre wildflower meadow with shrubs and trees that has been lovingly tended by the owner (and her mother before her) for decades.
This is not the sort of garden that is open to everyone all year round - it opens by appointment only, as well as part of the National Gardens Scheme occasionally during summer months and for random charity events (see the website).
We came during one of the National Gardens Scheme open days - as such, we felt it a privilege to share the gardens with the owner, and visitors should leave them as they found them.
As private gardens, the car park is minimal and it is not really suitable for wheelchairs, being at many levels. As a person who uses a stick, I found the gardens beautiful and enjoyable, but difficult to walk when making my way through the uphill sections.
Remember - when you walk downhill, you have to walk back uphill!

A lovely little place to spend some time walking around the gardens.
This garden & nursery is located up quite a long single track road but for us it was quiet enough not to hit any other traffic. We realised when we arrived that the price was £6.50 per adult (we didn't know this till we arrived) but the host was very welcoming and gave us advice on what route to take.

Lovely garden, very warm and welcoming garden owner. Tranquil and natural garden, not commercial at all. We loved it!

Completely extraordinary garden, enormous, varied, full of surprises and stunning plants. Way better than more "professional" operations with 10 or more staff, despite being done almost entirely by one person; the devoted owner. Highly recommended in May or June.

This is a beautiful garden and well worth a visit. So peaceful, filled with bird song. Lots of surprises just round the corner. Well worth a visit. It is down a long farm track, but is signposted.

Lovely gardens with lots of trees and bushes in flower and lots of other flowers as well.

Beautiful hellebores- no named specimens - and an enjoyable, rambling walk but wayyyy overpriced. Not worth the £6.50 admission fee, certainly not in March. Maybe summer is better,
