Excellent afternoon out, the lido pool is heated, but woild advise to try and go on a sunny day. There's a huge park to walk around and great for kids to play. There's changing rooms and showers around it. Cafe as well. We'll be back!

I visited for the Eisteddfod genedlaethol. The park had obviously been decorated especially for the occasion, but I can imagine the place to be great when the Eisteddfod is not there! The war memorial monument is lovely, and there's a sunken garden and bandstand too.

We went to the Lido pool with my family. Experience was amazing. We bought tickets with activities for family of 5 and cost us only under £20. Kids enjoyed the water inflatables activities for 1hr and 15 minutes. Theres a cafe next to it and a big play area where the kids can play after the swim.

Lovely Sunday in the sun with the family.
I poked my head into the Welsh Labour stand to argue with the representatives there about what they are doing to Wales 😂

The century-old jewel of Ponty with its impressively-restored 'The National Lido of Wales' with its multiple, outdoor heated pools, a huge 'adventure playground', cafe, tennis courts, football pitch, well-kept cricket pitch, historic bandstand, flowerbeds, and acres of leafy and open spaces with riverside walks.
Often holds events and attractions too such as fun days, fairs, parades and concerts.

Extended hours in summer is appreciated.
No parking on-site, but multiple car parks aren't far. The town's bus and train stations are also a short walk away.
Can be accessed via Park View / Bridge St (NE), the bridge by Gatto Lounge (NW), the bridge opposite EE/Natwest (SW) and via the Treforest part of the Taff Trail which runs to and through it (SE).

Went there with the family for the Eisteddfod - excellent Maes, good facilities and well planned out. Having an Eisteddfod with a lido is a big plus.

This has to be one of the finest parks in Wales. Over 150,000 people visited here during the National Eisteddfod week, many highlighting what a superb venue for such an event. Located right in the town centre the park is an asset to be justly proud of.

Attended this park for the first time when the National Eistedfodd was held there. It is like the tardis and has a lot to offer. Being close to the town it's great to explore while you have a picnic and make use of the fantastic lido. Lovely bandstand but it's a shame that the council do not make use of this and attract more people to the park.

Lovely park. The park is dog friendly and is a beautiful place to go and visit. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting here. The park has a wide range of facilities including the Lido (once allowed to open), restrooms, a children's play area, wide open spaces for picnics etc, a river and sports facilities.

What a beautiful Park loads to do with the children. The childrens playarea is fantastic. There's an out door pool which opens during summer months which is fab. The gardens surrounding it are well maintained, just the thing for a family picnic. There's tennis courts bowls a golf course and much more. There is also a cafe and toilets. The river runs along side and the shops are nearby if you fancy a bit of retail therapy. Go and have a look you'll have a lovely day

Beautiful park with pool, children's play area, small golf section and lovely riverside walks. Has a kiosk for snacks but this is seasonal, a beautiful bandstand and a cricket ground hidden at the back. The park is a perfect place to visit with kids in summer and a very pleasant place to take a sandwich for lunch, take the small bridge direct from the town centre. Beautiful.

This as always been a lovely place to go either with your young children or your dogs or on your own, there is so much to do here the only thing stopping you is you, there are some toilets here not the best but they are free, there's playground for your children there's a cafe on site to, the outdoor pool is opened back up but check their website for prices and opening times, they've put in loads more tables so grab a picnic and enjoy yourselves, very easy to find, as its a 2 min walk over 1 of 2 bridges from the town, its very easy to get around in even with a wheelchair or with a pushchair, plenty of open spaces so you can just sit or lay on the grass, plenty of paths to walk to
